As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters.
I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller," Holder said, referring to the Supreme Court ruling in Washington, D.C. v. Heller, which asserted the Second Amendment as an individual's right to own a weapon.

If the pubbies had put a conservative for president on the ticket, instead of that liberal; McCain, the election outcome would have been different!

Reverse the Order of the GOP Presidential ticket this past election and President Palin would have made this whole issue moot.
Learn that lesson. You want conservatives to vote? Run conservative candidates.

He’s talking about whatever he decides are “Cop-killer bullets”. That’s how the government works with firearms.

I do not run anybody. I did not vote for McCain in the primary. Point is Obama voters, third party voters that intentionally wasted their votes on losing candidates and any conservative that stayed home in protest own this dance with Obama. I know most Obama voters are proud and the other two have ZERO right to complain now. Use that is a learning lesson, as firearm and ammunition are restricted to a level like never been seen before in this country. Obama does not care about your second amendment rights and will take them away.

3rd Party voters weren't a part of this. There is no logical support for the idea that 3rd party voters would have broken significantly towards one major party or the other.
The apathetic are correct though. The more we vote, the more things get worse. Bush was a failure at repealing a single anti-gun EO either Clinton or Bush 41 signed. It would have been easy and given the base a serious boost to moral. McCain's squishy stupidity on leftist ideals made it clear he was just another RINO.
Nothing of which has a damn thing to do with the topic. You can stay on topic can't you?

Write it in crayon if you like. The fact is, the only group that consistently escapes your wrath is moderate left-leaning republicans. That’s telling.

Some recent Mexican army and police confrontations with drug cartels have resembled small-unit combat, with cartels employing automatic weapons and grenades WTF does this have to do with any of the weapons they plan to ban?
Democrats rely on the ignorance of the people to not know the difference between a fully automatic assault rifle (a real term) and an assault weapon (a made-up term meaning "the gun looks mean").
Damn! Slap a new stock on a Ruger Mini-14 and it becomes an "assault weapon." Does it make it any more dangerous? Of course not. But the sheeple don't know that.

“Obama is planning to strip down the military, but there are other threads for discussing that...”
I tried twice to post an article on this morning, but the sources were blocked by our host (they were defense websites). On KRLD radio in Dallas today they announced that F-22 Raptor production was “likely to be stopped” and that 2,000 defense workers were going to laid off in Fort Worth, Texas.

Really twinkie? I felt the best candidates this past election cycle to run this country were Fred Thompson or Duncan Hunter. Unfortunately neither wanted to put much into their campaigns. Once Palin came along I was thrilled with her. I like Jindal, Cantor, Spence, Sanford and even Santelli. So lift your leg on another tree there bubba. Your mark is way off.

No: I’ve never seen a bunch of more isolated, clueless pols than the scum in the Obama administration. They are so used to getting what they want no matter how many laws they break that they think they are untouchable.

It’s my understanding the “serial-numbered bullets” bills have been introduced in many states, but passed in None.

IIRC there used to be something called an arcane round. It was made of steel and the tip was shaped like an isoceles triangle. That was supposedly designed for vest penetration. I saw just one article on them many years ago. Never heard about them again.

What about 16 round 9mm handguns? Are they “assault weapons” due to the quantity of bullets?
