WASHINGTON - From a Lexington office complex, Mitt Romney's political action committee has ensured the former presidential candidate's omnipresence on cable news shows, ....

But for the next year and a half, the center of Romney's political universe will shift west to Sacramento, where key parts of his operation have reassembled on behalf of Meg Whitman, a longtime friend and former business colleague ....

The former eBay CEO is still readying her headquarters, but it has already become something of a campaign-in-exile for Romney's ambitions, which could include another presidential run in 2012....

"Mitt's going to be involved in dozens and dozens of races, but one that he's particularly excited about is the race for governor of California," said Eric Fehrnstrom, a Romney spokesman....

A Whitman victory could deliver Romney a valuable foothold in a state that will likely be a big, early prize on the Republican nominating calendar. Her 2010 campaign will also offer a...

Romney and Whitman both harshly criticized the $787 billion stimulus package championed by President Obama and congressional Democrats, saying it includes too much bloated spending and not enough tax cuts. Whitman is also railing against the plan, signed into law yesterday, of tax increases and spending cuts to plug California's $42 billion budget deficit, saying in a statement it "will kill jobs, hurt families, and make future deficits worse."

The parallel careers of Romney and Whitman - ...

Yet Romney is the only one of the three considered a possible 2012 presidential candidate, ...

You know well that you're trying to present the case that those pundits still think Romney is a good thing...

Really?

Thanks for letting me know what I was really trying to do. Apparently, I didn't know it myself.

In what respect do you think Whitman and Romney are “socialists”? The major knock on either of them has been on issues like abortion.

If it is “Romneycare,” that was not an attempt to “socialize” medicine. To the contrary, he attempted to require everyone to carry insurance, but kept the insurance and the provision of health care in the private sector. I saw it as an attempt to solve the increasing problem of “free riders,” while avoing socialized medicine.

Yes this practices is unforgivable and the Lord said it was His business to take revenge.

The Lord also commanded us to “Love One Another” and pray for one another even those who are still lost.

I really don’t get this kind of attitude is being hypocritical; Did not the Lord Jesus Christ said…

“He who is with out sin cast the first stone!” .

Someday I pray soon as a people that are believers will put into practiced what the Lord has commanded those of His to do!

All my life I have witness people saying they follow Jesus or the Lord but act in the same old same old pattern, professing one thing and doing another....

This nation is in trouble and the bar has been raised for this nation to survive as a people to strive harder to do better towards their fellowman and work with the Lord to change hearts not to isolate and harden hearts more!

The tares will fall but the stray wheat need to awaken and it won’t happen if those who are to Love One Another continue to harden their heart towards those who are lost or misguided.

I believe the Lord can change hearts, I pray you do too!

‘Indeed I am, when you support pro-abort gun-grabbers; socialists who are destroying our free republic’s foundations one chip at a time. ‘

If only I did support such things, you’d have a point.

I don’t. You know I don’t. But you want to pretend I do on the internet, because you have some weird fixation about Romney.

If your approach was viable politically, you wouldn’t HAVE THE TIME to be posting here, on this, for two hours, friend.

Just consider that maybe, just ‘maybe’ your approach is counter productive, thats all I’m suggesting here.

California is liberal majority territory. No disputing it as things stand TODAY.

How long have you been trying to change that? Has it worked?

If it hasn’t, what are you going to change in YOUR MESSAGE to make it ‘work’?

Old saying. If you keep repeating the same action over and over and over again, each time expecting a different result....thats a sign of insanity.

IN this context, its ‘political insanity’. Not being a ‘conservative’. Thats not insane, thats rational in my view.

But what you are advocating, how you are advocating it actually, clearly isn’t working.

Just consider this.

‘Face it, you’ve been hammered on this thread and rightly so. You’ve been exposed as a phony and a fraud. LMAO ‘

Want to hurt your own credibility in a political forum?

Tell others ‘Badeye’ is a liberal. A quarter of a million posts going back to 1998 will make you a forum laughingstock.

You should stop now, but you won’t....

We’re not talking about their personal spiritual status here, restornu. We’re talking about whether they are fit to hold public office and thereby empower the forces of death and the destruction of liberty.

When YOU support candidates that support the alienation of innocent human life, the destruction of our most cherished God-given liberties, and the destruction of our sovereignty and borders, YOU are supporting those things, whether YOU will face up to it or not. YOU are responsible for what is done with our franchise as a citizen of this country and will have to answer to God.

"How’d that work out?"

The cyber incest b/n the premier FR.com Romney bashers did not take long to get going on this thread.

You would think that the guy was actually running for office somewhere after reading a dozen posts on this thread.

I know.

This is in fact how we got McCain the Lame as the nomninee last year.

I don’t know if Romney would have own, but he sure would have put Obama on the defensive related to the economy, which was THE subject last November 4th.

I'll stick with my message of the protection of God-given life and liberty no matter what you sell-outs do. You may prevail for a little while, and help the left destroy this country, but we'll see who comes out on top in the long haul.

LOL You're a glutton for punishment.

>>>>>>Tell others ‘Badeye’ is a liberal.

You've done that all on your own.

You've been here since Feb.26, 2000, not 1998. If those 250K posts are anything like what you've posted on this thread, you've been a fool a lot longer than I first thought.

"This is a conservative website. I guess then what you're saying is that you DON'T embrace conservative economic principles..."

Do conservative economic principles involve MAKING MONEY?

I made more money while Romney was Governor here in Massachusetts than at any other 4 year period in my life.

Are there any other states that had not a single tax increase at the same time as when Romney was Governor of Massachusetts? (BTW, that while a very hostile legislature over rode many of his vetoes.)

I hate asking a question that I do not know the answer to, but even if the answer is yes, the 4 years here concerning my taxes under Romney were pretty good.

How come the Romney haters are not posting about the situation here in Massachusetts now since Romney left the State House?

Hypocrites.

It requires insurance and is paid for by the state fir indigents, that's socialism!

Medical care isn't a right it's a privilege to be PAID FOR BY THE RECIPIENT! It should go back to the way it was 50 years ago when there wasn't such a thing as health insurance. Medical care was excelent and cheap.

"...More important, if the Huck had dropped out, the vast majority of his support would have gone to McCain..."

Do you have a source for that ridiculous assertion?

Huckster was in the race solely to block Romney. He had absolutely no chance.

This thread shows you need to work on your reading comprehension skills, RR.

Nowhere did I say ‘a quarter of a million posts at Free Republic’.

Thats the third time on THIS THREAD you’ve made basic reading comprehension errors.

I began at Lucianne’s website in 1998. Eventually, as you noted accurately (nice change of pace, btw,,,chuckle) I registered here at FR. I’m also registered at another four or five Conservative political forums of various types.

The difference between us is I’m not so ate up with venom towards any politician that I continually insult another poster personally that I happen to disagree with.

You haven’t offered up any ‘punishment’ my way at all. Sorry, I guess thats what you think you’ve done. Nothing could be further from the truth.

You’ve just displayed how we got John McCain as the nominee, with only 37% support from Republicans during the primaries when they actually ‘mattered’.

I don’t think your a fool, I just find you small.

Its not worth it, Radix. As you noted, Romney isn’t running for office. At the end of the day, I don’t believe this is about anything beyond Romney being a Mormon.

Just my personal opinion. As such, this isn’t worth a flame war here in the forum with those that foam at the mouth every time Mitt’s name is posted.

“And he was never as liberal as you say.”

Why did he only give money to liberal democrat candidates in multiple states before 1993 when he took back his republican registration that he had dropped in protest of Reagan to run for the senate in 1994?

A race in which he ran to left of Ted Kennedy on some issues, a claim made in his own words.
