Yes, exactly who started the secret run on the banks that we've only lately learned about? Can't tell me the government doesn't know. And I seem to remember Mr Soros almost destroyed England's economy at one time, with his money manipulations. FWIW

As a NY’er, Chuck Schumer brings home enough Govt regulation, pork and money to satisfy his key constituents - the Gov’t and teacher’s unions, and those who benefit from big Govt. Besides that he makes efforts to appear “populist enough” to cater to NY City and surrounding county lefty or working-class voters.

Upstate voters outside of these groups never vote for him, but they don’t, and never will, have enough numbers to matter.

I actually believe Chucky’s seat is become safer. As population flees the State, it increases the relative percentage of his supporters.

The Democrats worked for the defeat of U.S. troops to gain power....

True.

And look what happened? They got total power.

Why does our side seem so impotent. Use Alinskey’s rules against lefties...

(Fannie Mae Eases Credit To Aid Mortgage Lending) September 39, 1999

[snip]:
Fannie Mae, the nations biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.

"...McCain was also for the bailouts"  "... Juan is DEFINITELY part of the problem..."

We don't even have to read the article, just look at the pictures:

First Obama fools the useful idiots, then came the 'crisis', and that's when the useful idiots complained about everything McCain did regardless.

Foreign elements STRONGLY wanted zer0 in office. His promises to pull back in the WOT and be buddies with Iran, Syria, North Korea were strong motivators for them to develop a plan to throw the election his way by manipulating a skittish market. Soros orchestrated this plan and now they have their puppet in the Whitey House - a full blown communist regime in charge of The United States of America!.

“Contrived Crisis?”

You betcha! The well played scheme worked too well. But now, the economy gods need to reverse the course of the economy they tanked in order to get Obama elected. They miscalculated, and it went too far. They counted on it reversing itself naturally once Obama was elected. This, as we all now know, did not happen.

What happened? Americans lost total confidence in the economy after being brow beat hourly by MSM regarding how horrible our economy was. This caused a run on bank deposits, and on the stock market. I recall hearing about a one day run of around $550 billion? Talk about tanking an economy!

But PTL, Obama said last night he has a plan to restore our confidence in the markets. It’s like the ‘lord’ giveth and the ‘lord’ taketh away. And now, the ‘lord’ will restoreth. But the One says this time, in order to restoreth, we must make a sacrifice. We must embrace socialism. Since it’s the only way we can be saved, and our confidence in the market restored.

The last time I broached this subject here, I was accused of being paranoid, certifiably insane, and just plain dumb.

"...accused of being paranoid, certifiably insane, and just plain dumb."

Doom'n'gloomers tend to get pretty insulting as they specialize in feelings and personality conflicts as opposed to work and earning a living.  Maybe a lot of them must be ex-wives or something.

I’ll go the economic meltdown conspiracy one better: It appears that the market in oil and gas was clearly manipulated. Once they (Soros et al) realized it would hurt the Dems more, due to their anti-drilling stance, they changed gears and went after the financial markets. We all remember the drill here, drill now campaign that was in part, the reason McCain developed a lead on Obama. Once September rolled around, and it appeared that the anti-drilling issue would kill the dems, they (SOros and other sympathetic speculators) flooded the market with oil, so the price at the pump would fall drastically BEFORE the election. They then set about crashing the market before the elections. I am amazed it has taken this long before some mention was made in any media outlet. Where is the FBI on this financial terrorism?
