WBAL-TV has fired a reporter who inserted a graphic phrase in a video for a prank only to have the doctored version surface on Web sites nationwide.
Wanda Draper, director of public affairs for the NBC affiliate, confirmed Tuesday afternoon that technology reporter John Sanders no longer is employed by the station.
According to accounts published on the Internet, Sanders admitted inserting a graphic phrase into a video to make it appear that John Gibson of Fox News was denigrating U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder. In the faked video, which appeared first on YouTube and later on The Huffington Post, Gibson is shown using the phrase "bright blue scrotum" while referring to Holder.
A statement from WBAL claims that Sanders posted the video on his personal YouTube page "without the prior knowledge or consent" of the network or its affiliate.

snicker....
Of course the monkey is pissed. He has a bright blue scrotum. I’d be pissed too if I had blue balls.
Has he applied for a job on The Colbert Report yet?
Bet he's not laughing now.
Too bad for this clown that Olberman works for NBC or he’d hire him.
The kid who doctored the John Gibson audio is a blatant example, but perhaps it will help US put the spotlight of objectivity on ALL OF THE LOCAL BROADCASTERS.
Most reporters are relatively young with extremely liberal academic backgrounds. When you are able to find them being less than honest or forthright (and if anyone can spot reporters omitting crucial facts in a story, it is FREEPers!) then let's call them ON THE CARPET!
I suggest we call and write the station manager(s), and in a polite but firm way we let these businesses know we're watching and notice such actions.
Example: A couple years ago, I saw a newscaster read a story about a conservative local candidate. The newscaster, after saying something about the desires of the candidate, ROLLED THEIR EYES....it was an incredibly blatant show of disrespect by an "objective" reporter. I wrote the station manager and complained.
I watched the newscasts after my letter, and never saw another instance of such actions...
Let them know you're watching--be polite, and give them information they may have overlooked!
We must not let Hussein control all of the media.
I can read fine without my glasses, thank you.
Your post just gave me an Excedrin moment.
So, anyway, online poll: Does Holder look like a bright blue monkey scrotum?
What is this disclaimer they wrote at the bottom:
“An earlier version of this article misstated the amount of times John Gibson used the graphic phrase. The Baltimore Sun regrets the error.”
Are they trying to insinuate that John Gibson said it more than once? I missed this story yesterday.
Who knows...but the liberal monkey scrotum fixation deserves further study.
Maybe Obama could fund it in the next bill? What do you think, say, $400 million?
What are you guys worried about?
This guy will be working within the next two weeks, either in the Obama Administration Press Relations, or for MoveOn.Borg.
He’s a HERO to the KOS Krowd. Imagine THAT?
This guy got caught! How many in the corrupt MSM are more subtle and get away with it?
LOL!
