"I'd be surprised if this grosses even $10 million."

I wouldn't be surprised if all parties involved are nominated for Academy Awards for it. The Oscars are that worthless.

I didn't bother to watch the Oscars this year. Quite frankly, I don't think Hollywood (or Bollywood) produced anything this year worthy of best picture honors. There were a few good movies, but nothing worthy of that category.

From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (revcom.us or rwor.org) :

"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power: We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning.

And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle.":

on the autobiography by Ambassador Wilson's wife, outed C.I.A. agent Valerie Plame Wilson.

Actually it should have been the "fictional" account. The appropriate title should have been "How We Lied Our Way to Fame and Fortune".........

My first thought was: "Wow, he better get his money upfront because the Wilson's fifteen minutes was up years ago and he won't have the LBGT crowd to prop up this turd."

I'm thinking it is going to more resemble the actual Titanic than the film Titanic's box office receipts...

While few Americans give a hoot about what an arrogant, obnoxious, self-absorbed Hollywood actor like Sean Penn thinks about anything, The Observer's Christopher Rosen gets one thing right. Only hardcore Bush-haters, ignoring reality as best they can, still rant about this palpable nonsense. The Joe Wilson/Valarie Plame contentions were ultimately proven to be baseless. A carefully-crafted pack of lies intended to hurt President Bush in his 2004 re-election bid. He won, anyway.

The average American didn't care that much in 2003 and even less, now. Any film about this non-story is going to tank...but they already know that. This is simply the Hollywood chapter of the Loony Left having a snit-fit on film. Idiots.

I was disappointed by Slumbdog Millionaire, but I still thought it was entertaining. The only thing I liked about the Oscars was how much fun the Indian kids were having simply being there and being part of something that won so many awards. None of them was even nominated for anything individual.
Actually, I have to confess that Shirly McClain’s best actress presentation to Ann Hathaway was pretty touching. Especially juxtaposed with Whoopie Goldberg’s presentation about Whoopie Goldberg.

Without reading a word of this story, here’s what I know about this film: 1) it will be a leftist fairy tale that elevates Wilson/Plame to wronged super-heroes and makes the Bush Administration into the evil villain; 2) it will be “based” on the whole manufactured Plame outing and will ignore the fact that Wilson received taxpayer money to conduct an investigation which he not only didn’t do, he lied about it when he got back to America; 3) it will be one more in a whole series of films produced by Hollyweird that I can’t wait to ignore and spend my money on more useful things . . . . . . like beer!

Eventually, if we ALL stop spending money to see leftist political propaganda, Hollyweird will either go bankrupt and stop subjecting the rest of America to their superficial, airheaded views, or they will finally get the hint and go back to telling stories again without the political overtones they inject into virtually everything they do.

I’m betting that these stars” will be out the street begging for handouts before Hollyweird gets the picture.

(Pun intended!)

From National Public Radio (NPR):
August 29, 2006
"Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has been visiting countries such as China, Iran and Russia as part of an effort to build a 'strategic alliance' of interests not beholden to the United States. He considers the United States his arch enemy.":

From CBS-News:
July 29, 2006
"Chavez pledged that his country would 'stay by Iran at any time and under any condition,' state television reported. Ahmadinejad said he saw in Chavez a kindred spirit." "'We do not have any limitation in cooperation,' Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying. 'Iran and Venezuela are next to each other and supporters of each other. Chavez is a source of a progressive and revolutionary current in South America and his stance in restricting imperialism is tangible.'":

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:

"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."
http://www.wintersoldier.com/index.php?topic=Timeline

Fonda made the following statement at the University of Texas:
"We've got to establish a Socialist economic structure that will limit private profit-oriented businesses. Whether the transition is peaceful depends on the way our present governmental leaders react. We must commit our lives to this transition ...... We should be very proud of our new breed of soldier. It's not organized but it's mutiny, and they have every right." --Karen Elliott Dallas Morning News December 11, 1971

From 1972: "I am not a do-gooder, I am a revolutionary. A revolutionary woman."
