Obama Claim: Done More in 30 Days Than Other Presidents Economy Will Dominate Obama Speech Tonight By JAKE TAPPER and MARK MOONEY

The Obama administration is going into tonight's pivotal speech to Congress with the belief that President Obama has accomplished more in the first 30 days in office than any modern president.
The president will give the nation a "sober assessment" about the status of the country's economy tonight as he assures Americans that there are "better days ahead," according to White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
Obama will address a joint meeting of Congress tonight in a speech that will be shown live on national television, giving the president a chance to sketch out his agenda for the country after having authorized a massive $787 billion stimulus package as well as a $75 billionhomeowner bailout.
It will also allow the administration to brag a bit.
"President Obama has accomplished more in 30 days than any president in modern history," a senior White House official said today in a background briefing.

Another thing is that 0bama is not delivering on the transparency pledges that he made during his campaign where he promised that the public would be able to view and comment on pending bills he proposed for several days before they came to a vote, but instead the 'stimulus' budget was rushed through Congress without even Congress having any time to digest and discuss the plan. This is unacceptable.

I actually think President Obama has accomplished more in thirty days than any other ‘modern’ President.
Don’t think any of it was ‘positive’ for himself, his administration, this congress, or this nation, however.
But the dollar amounts thrown to the wind seems to confirm the statement.

I only went back to Carter. More out of laziness, than anything else.
Since his inauguration, Obama, indeed, has destroyed more wealth than any of the last six presidents managed in the same time frame. Dow is off 15% since he took office.
The president that did the best over the same time frame? Interestingly enough, Jimmy Carter. Dow went up a little more than 5%. Most of the rest were pretty flat.
Are we talking more good or more bad?
