I like Sarah Palin...
Recently, however, my confidence in Governor Palins judgment has begun to ebb most dramatically, this week...

I saw a couple of DU trolls post this theory, and they turned into one of those threads where everyone bashes the poster after being zotted.

Defending someone that knocks Palin. Figured you would do that. Fits your MO with posting this ridiculous hit piece. Giving constructive criticism does not make this a hit piece. And just what is my MO anyway?

His father was naturalized in 1970, I believe his mother prior to that as she worked for the government before they where married. Jindal was born in 71.

I see Palin and Jindal both as valid choices for 2012 -- though the field of acceptable candidates will probably expand and, in any event, it's far too early to be committed to one or the other (and knocking everybody else).
While I was a Romney supporter myself, I'm leery of supporting a candidate who couldn't beat out John McCain -- the most unsatisfactory GOP candidate since Thomas Dewey.

Well, you are telling me that his parents were naturalized. Were they naturalized before or after he was born? That makes a difference to me.
That is what I am talking about. You don’t have to agree with that, I can respect that. It took my mother five years to become naturalized. They left India in 1970 and he was born in 1971.

By the way Carol went to Harvard and knew Obama when he was head of the Law Review. During her stint Friday on Hewitt’s program she said (paraphrased), “I didn’t think during the campaign it was appropriate to let the American people know about the Barack Obama I knew at Harvard and how he did his job as editor of the Law Review and what political leanings he had at the time.”
Well Carol, there are millions of Americans with buyers’ remorse right now. It would have been great to have known what you know about Obama before entering the voting booth.

Is her daughter not 18? If not mistaken, wasn't the interview done in Sarah and Todd's house?
Also, an 18-year old hardly has the political wisdom to know when to answer and when to refuse.
Even when it's a nice one like Greta.

Jindal has been impressive, but as POTUS he is not qualified as a natural born citizen. He may be a citizen but not a natural born citizen.
You need to do some research. Here's a wiki page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_jindal :-)
Governor Jindal was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, unless that state has seceded from the union and the papers didn't cover it?
Palin/Jindal or Jindal/Palin 2012!! Win/win situation either way!

WTH is this supposed to mean?!
There are different views of what natural born citizen is, and Ive read a lot about it. I hold the view that it is not merely being born in this country. It is having parents as citizens. You risk division promoting him.
Where in the Constitution of the United States does it say this?!?
My husband was born in India, but became an American citizen several years ago. Are you saying my son can NEVER be POTUS because of this 'rule' you seem to have made up?!? >:-(

Let the media pick our candidate. Brilliant./Sarc
Sure, they smacked her around and she still drew massive crowds. Ask Chambliss.
The "conservatives" will run scared and go for Sanford or Jindal (both excelllent candidates) and then act shocked when the media eviscerates those two.Face it. No matter who we nominate will be portrayed as an inexperienced village idiot by the MSM. Let's just go with the candidate we like best. Palin, Jindal, Sanford, and Demint are excellent candidates.

Where in the Constitution of the United States does it say this?!? This is coming from one of those lawsuits against Obama buy some poker player who claims that you can't be a Natural Born Citizen unless you where born to born to natural born citizen parents on US soil, anything else is just a 'citizen'... it is a real stretch as nothing in US law states this, the guy who filed this suit had to go back to old British Common Law and really twist what is there, then assume it applies to us... I think this was an alternative legal attack by those who didn't think the birth certificate thing wouldn't go anywhere.

Well, I go by this:
"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."
Anything else that is added outside of the Constitution is bullhockey!
My children could be president of these United States someday--that is, if there's anything left after HolyO is through ruining it!!!

Please. As I recall Bristol was asked when she told her mother she was doing the interview. She answered the day before. Greta announced since Bristol was 18 she did not have to have her mothers permission. Don't think Sarah had a say in the whole deal Just like Bristol deciding to have sex, mom didn't have a say in that decision after the fact.
The Bush daughters didn't get pregnant, but they sure partied and did plenty of embarrassing thing to the President.
Kids for better or worse make their own decisions.

To: daylilly
That makes a difference to me.Well, it doesn't make a difference when it comes to his legal eligibility, so what you posted about him not being a natural born citizen is false. And no we don't have to agree with you, but the facts are on our side. Don't vote for him if you want, your one non-vote won't make a difference in the support for him if the base backs him up.
One final comment...you have been provided with the correct information, continuing this course of discrimination only makes you look bad and demeans the integrity of the forum. Please cut it out.
