I see Palin and Jindal both as valid choices for 2012 -- though the field of acceptable candidates will probably expand and, in any event, it's far too early to be committed to one or the other (and knocking everybody else).

While I was a Romney supporter myself, I'm leery of supporting a candidate who couldn't beat out John McCain -- the most unsatisfactory GOP candidate since Thomas Dewey.

You can blame that on open primaries. Had the primaries been closed to party only, McCain would have been an "also ran" in the primaries, instead of the general.
