In the last few weeks, there have been a number of suggestions as to how to regain control of the government and our nation's direction. Some, such as Ron Paul's minions, are planning an April run on banks to try to "bring the system down." (Abbie Hoffman, is that you?) Others have suggsted various other plans, some good, some long-term, some organizational in nature.
I think I have the plan. It's not time yet. We'll know when. But I take my lead from our fellow Tennessee patriots who stopped that state's income tax from passing by basically tying up the capitol with a traffic jam and "human jam" of enormous proportions. (The French truckers did this a few years ago, too, to protest something).
Here's my suggestion: WHEN IT'S TIME, millions need to descend peacefully on D.C. in cars (the more the better), but planes, trains, and surreys will work too. Bring your sleeping bags. Stage the largest sit-down strike in American history, a strike that will make the inaguration crowd look like a bar mitzvah. Once again, PEACEFUL is the word.
The idea would be to so completely tie up D.C. that absolutely nothing could move. No staffers could get in, no media could get in or out except by helo. Some people might have to sacrifice cars---so some people might want to bring "beaters," and just walk away. What would happen if suddenly D.C. looked like one of those scenes from a horror movie, with hundreds of abandoned cars? It could take weeks to move anything. People would not be "PROTESTING" per se, but just "visiting" to express their concern, milling about, blocking up the nation's sick heart like a giant blood clot.
Imagine if no one can get in or out of airports? What would "they" do? Call the army? To do what? Herd people out? (How would THEY get in?)
I haven't fully fleshed this out, but it strikes me that it would be absolutely unbeatable. Read Jean Rapail's "The Camp of the Saints" and see how effective non-violent "showing up" can be!
Civil disobedience is a dangerous weapon, but it may well necessary to unleash it to save the republic.
The ultimate question with this regime may well come done to whether the Army and the state National Guards will obey orders to move on a large chunk of the population, especially when it's their own friends and families (as opposed to rich leftist hippie kid as in the '60s).
Ok, but don’t misunderstand. This is NOT a “vacation,” would not be a visit when things are “less crowded.” The entire intent is to so disrupt and tie up business that even the drivebys can’t ignore it.
So, what if they do start bulldozing the thousands of cars tied up in endless traffic jams. The point is, it would ALL GET COVERED. The media simply could not ignore this. Now, they could spin what was "happening," but they absolutely could not deny that massive numbers of people were there in opposition to the government. And if DC is under "lock down?"
I think Abbie Hoffman would be proud of such an achievement.
I understand that. Just trying to motivate more people to show up instead of making excuses. Schedule the DC visit as part of a vacation, fully understanding it will be “crowded.”
As to how the Army gets there, that's easy - the 3rd Infantry is just over the bridges and there are other troops within the military district of Washington close to hand.
I know this sounds like a great idea - of course harking back to Abbie's levitating the Pentagon - but I think you underestimate the logistical difficulties. (Remember - amateurs talk tactics, professionals talk logistics)
Ahhhhh. Now you’re talking. Like all those people in Chicago who just “happened” to be in the park when the Yippies were going nuts. Nice.
Answer: you have to bulldoze them. (But these are good libs just trying to get to work!) Too bad.
You know as well as I there are ways to do this. And I am PRECISELY getting around the "logistics" by having this be a mass individual movement as opposed to an "organizational movement." The goal is NOT to "show up and protest" (logistics). The goal is to so completely tie things up that the OPPOSITION must plan logistics.
Use your head. Help find a solution. You're sounding like a Tory in 1775 :)
Yes, and what a great crowd to be a part of!
What would be GREAT, is the have Revolationary Re Enactors at these protests, along with their FIFE & DRUMS.
This has to be seen for what it is a Revolution.
Report your car stolen when near the staging/action area.
Exactly. There are ways to do this. The more imaginative we get, the more, er, difficult it will be for Washington to conduct business.
I agree that local, state and federal protests are essential to getting our message out. And they should continue until they are effective. Count me in!
Something like a coordinated day where EVERY CONSERVATIVE files a new W-2 form with 20+ exemptions.
And suddenly, the Government is choking for “air”, i.e. funds. . .
Geeeez ... 72 cars across a 6 lane .. every one with two diagonal flats ... whoda’thunk?
I already claim 15. Whats five more I suppose.
We would never have guessed.
(1) Mass demonstrations are for the dummy-crats. Conservatives usually have better things to do that day.
(2) There's absolutely no way you would be able to surpass the numbers of socialists counter-demonstrating against your little knot of protestors.
(3) Your brilliant idea of simply going there with no other planning practically guarantees that nobody would even hazard a guess as to why you are there.
(4) If your own Congressman and Senator aren't already standing up for you, what makes you think Congress will even notice, let alone do the right thing? (Remember, over half of them are dummy-crats.)
LS; some of us wanted to nominate a Constitutionalist to run for President, but you see how far that got.
Some of us have been fighting this fight for years, but alas, to no avail. Gee, I wonder how we would have done with you actually helping us? You and all the other so-called "conservatives" around here. Fat chance, huh?
No, sir, the time for action is long past, and now it seems that over half of the country actually wants socialism, for what they can get out of it.
The time for doing something meaningful was a long time ago.
DC is a three day trip for some, so getting stuck there without your car would be terrible, but having 10,000 or more people show up in every down town area of every major city, as individuals, and block traffic, and walk away......
If they returned to their cars within a few hours, they would have caused chaos, and made their point.
Just thinking out loud.
The voice of the Tory. Sometime in the past was “always better,” more appropriate. Sorry. You fight when the fight comes.
