Americas Finest News Source has some explaining to do.
The Onion , the usually biting comic weekly, just cant bring itself to mock President Barack Obama. The One has been in office for more than a month now, and the last four Onion issues have tip-toed around anything remotely tough on the Commander-in-Chief. Its hardly a shock, since most comics in toto seem to have a hands off approach to the new president. But The Onion?

A day after the election they mocked him as a Nigerian Scammer who made off with $85 million in campaign funds.
Ditto
That’s a good start!
I guess you’re right, most jokes aren’t funny.
I get most of my satire from ThePeoplesCube.com and Scrappleface.com anyway.

The Onion is obviously not as fearless or credible as they would like people to believe. The 0bama administration is the very definition of a target rich parody gold mine. The Onion stinks.
How is this in any way derogatory? It’s sympathetic. Mad isn’t mad at Obama.
I like both of those sites. :)
If you read the Mad issue, I think you’ll find that you’re wrong. The article “The First Hundred Minutes” is very funny and very disparaging of Hussein.
“Hundredth Monkey Effect”
Racist!!!
OOOps! I didn’t see the other covers. Good on MAD.
It's an interesting question.
Does the Onion (and for that matter all entertainment and "news" media) want to criticize Marxist Obama, and are they simply too cowardly and terrorized?
Or could be they fellow travelers who want to see uber change from our free and open government and to separate us from our traditions and American culture?
Or both?
I hold out hope that some from among the media will recognize Obama's falsehoods, shortcomings, and abuses, then realize that they miss that First Amendment thingie, and break ranks.
.
Holder was right. We are a nation of cowards. And the biggest cowards work on the broadcast network talk shows - leno, letterman, kimmel et. al.
I have a feeling that unless they do this right away, very soon they won't even have a chance to do it.
You can link. No one can prevent linking. Period.
I don't know about the Onion's coverage of the president (haven't been paying attention). But right after the election, the Onion News Network did a nice mock of his supporters, discussed here.
Not only is the cover a keeper, but I think I’ll buy it at my local Barnes & Noble...the reaction of the liberal checkout clerks will be added fun!
