An Oklahoma City police officer wrongly pulled over a man last week and confiscated an anti-President Barack Obama sign the man had on his vehicle.
The officer misinterpreted the sign as threatening, said Capt. Steve McCool, of the Oklahoma City Police Department, and took the sign, which read "Abort Obama, not the unborn."
Chip Harrison said he was driving to work when a police car followed him for several miles and then signaled for him to pull over.
''I pulled over, knowing I hadn't done anything wrong," Harrison said in a recent phone interview.
When the officer asked Harrison if he knew why he had been pulled over, Harrison said he did not.

I don’t care how “professional” they are. I would not allow a “walk through” of my house without a warrant, and any request to speak to me would be responded to with the phone number of my attorney.

Your assumption could be wrong. The officer may have been very far to the right and truly knows what abortion is.
The incompatibility of the left and right becomes apparent when a word has a definite meaning.
And, I wonder how they would make that determination?
With all due respect to our truly dedicated law enforcement officers - never consent to a search of your person or property without a warrant.

I think the Secret Service did go overboard. The evidence against Harrison was the bumper sticker. The Secret Service told the OKC cops they did not consider it a threat. Therefore, they had no justification to visit the “offender” (other than to apologize on behalf of fellow law enforcement officers) and they had absolutely no valid reason to ask to inspect the home since the sticker wasn’t considered threatening. (BTW, I do have a lot of respect for the SS. I just hope Obama does too. The SS might be over-reacting right now because they don’t know where they stand with this administration.)
Hmmm .... seems like if this goes to trial, it could actually hurt his pro-life cause. If the court determines that “abort” does not mean “kill” the pro-choicers could use that as more fire against pro-life ... if it’s not killing, then there’s no problem.
Maybe I’m thinking a bit extreme here, but nothing the pro-choice side does surprises me anymore.
I had actually pictured what would happen to me in the same situation....finding guns and ammo in the house. Bet I'd be in jail!
So you are telling me that if I (and a hundred of my friends) called up the Secret Service during the Bush administration, and complained to them about every disparaging remark we heard from a Lefty that might sound vaguely threatening, they would have paid a personal visit to each Lefty's house? I don't think so.

I am Blessed to know of a particularly wonderful Freeper Lady who has a FREEPR customized license plate on her stylish and fashionable car. Will she soon be in danger of being pulled over and harassed for advertising the fact that she is a proud member of a 'hate group'?

No self-respecting judge would have given them one.
Too bad the guy didn't make them produce one before letting them in
on their fishing expedition for evidence that he was part of a "hate group."
