“The Pope should have reminded Pelosi that in the old days her kind would have been tortured to repentance or burned at the stake.
Ahhhh, for the good old days.”

Ya know....the thing is, I'm not even Catholic!
Even *I* have more respect for God, the teachings of Christ Jesus and the special apparent place in Christianity for the Pope of Rome than a Pelosi does.

Ditto that!! What’s said is there are apparently lots of bishops, etc. here who are protesting Pelosi’s stand on this, but their hands are tied? Don’t understand the political workings of the Vatican, but if the Pope can’t even bring himself to tell her YOU’RE WRONG!! STOP IT!!! OR ELSE!!!!
then what’s the point? :*(

I hope he warned her that her soul is in danger of eternal damnation! That would be based on the idea that she believes one word of it, which I don't see how she could.

While political stands are a different animal....how can one claim to be Catholic and yet disobey or reject certain central tenets of the faith? How can a leader of a faith allow influential members of the "flock" to flip the bird and snub their noses at the faith?
Pelosi, Kennedy and the rest who flout their faith cannot consider themselves to be what they claim. To my way of thinking, it is an affront and a serious display of disrespect to continue living a lie and gain both materially and spiritually from that.

"This Pope has no backbone!!!" You should educate yourself on this Pope, the laws of the Catholic Church and the process of Excommunication before you further embarrass yourself. Better yet, why don't you become an active member of the Church and work from within to make change more in line with your requirements?

I’m a Christian, but not a Catholic. I have no interest in trying to figure out the political aspects of the Church or the Pope. I just think it’s a terrible thing that the man who is in charge doesn’t draw the line out and out...there never seems to be consequences for any of these CINOs out there who promote abortion (Kerry, Pelosi, Kennedy, etc.)—and that’s just WRONG, no matter what the religious belief! What good does wrist slapping do??? How many babies will be saved because of the Pope’s so-called ‘confrontation’ with Pelosi??
My bet: ZERO.

"I just think its a terrible thing that the man who is in charge doesnt draw the line out and out..." I understand and appreciate the impatience. Everyday that this holocaust continues innocent lives are lost. I don't want to turn the Church into a democracy or a poll driven institution so I pray that the Pope will be successful sooner rather than later.

The movie Becket starring Richard Burton and Peter O'Toole shows he 'Bell, Book, and Candle' ceremony. Blood chilling for any believing Catholic.
