Adios 2nd. Amendment. And if you don’t pay they take you away.
Time to take a day from work, and march on Springfield en masse. Enough of this bullsh**.
Whoever it was yesterday that predicted this, come and take a bow. They’re not outlawing gun ownership, they’re just going to make it too expensive to own one.
Has this been passed?
Ah, the socialization of your life delivered by the socialization of risk through the socialists. Clever aren’t they?
Once again...Illinois is in the “front” of breaching the Constitution.
This is WAY out of hand...these guys show no sign of stopping!
I’m a criminal defense lawyer in Illinois and haven’t heard a thing about this law. Normally something like this would have a criminal penalty attached. I’ll ask around and post what I find.
Not that I practice such but if the only reason you have a firearm is to mount a defense of home (or country), why would you obtain the FOID or it’s (possibly) requisite insurance.
If you defend your home, your gun will be confiscated and some sort of charge will be found.
If it comes to defending the Constitution, it’s a moot point.
Thanks very much.
Am I interpretin gthis wrong? It seems like it says the owner is reponsible for the firearm even after it has been stolen?

Not a law yet. Don’t forget, no Illinois lawmaker west of Route 47 or south of I80 that wants to get re-elected will vote for this, even the Democrats.
let the revolution begin.......these ass clowns have no clue...
The state of NJ will not allow you to have or purchase a firearm with a “fire arms ID (BS) card”. I have a shot gun, rifle and handgun....it is my right to have one, PERIOD.
This administration has only ONE thing in mind...to take over this country. They know that the 2nd amendment is just another roadblock they need to get rid of in order to take this country over without any struggle.
If this keeps going, the Constitution will no longer exist! The only people it hurts are the LAW abiding citizens....
Because in Illinois it's a crime to posess or purchase a firearm or ammunition unless you have an FOID. Including a weapon kept in your home.
“...these ass clowns have no clue...”
No, they know exactly what they are doing....and that’s destroying this country and stealing all the wealth and power from the people! That is their objective.
Let’s put it this way, if aliens came from outer space and told us over and over again that they will cure all sicknesses on this planet and people believed them, but you found out their real plan was to destroy all humanity, as a citizen, what would be the proper thing to do?
Unless you report the theft to the police, which is common sense.
