Is that a Remington?
Yeah, in springtime that ride between Glen Rose and San Antonio along 281 is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. Bluebonnets, indian paintbrush, buttercups, primroses, and daisies as far as the eye can see. I love Texas.
Si, senor.
Listing for Missouri is inaccurate. Nothing has been passed or has committee hearings.

His work is distinctive.
In spring, I would drive out to Pipe Creek, Bandera, Ingram, Bandera, etc.
Ping!
Let's give it teeth all across the land.
Bandera twice!
A tip of the Stetson from another 7th generation Texan.
My various Texas ancestors fought Indians, Mexicans, Yankees, Jayhawkers, served in a Frontier Battalion, rode with RIP Ford, got started in the cattle business by picking up longhorn calves left behind by trail herds on the Chisholm Trail, had oil wells on their ranch, as a teenager got chased by J Frank Dobie for making noise behind his house, served as a captain in the 36th Division, learned to swim on a creek of the Brazos, etc. Yee Haw!
The guy is truly able to capture the “character” of this part of Texas. Neat stuff!
Hey ... we got real beer here unlike you guys.
I see a LOT of Oklahoma license plates coming down here for road trips and stuff.
Sixth Generation here. Old family cemetary is around Cleburne.
I say we split into two states: Texas and that little donut hole we call Austin...
We’ve been keeping up with this pretty steady too. This one has got to get passed.
I just emailed a bunch of my Indiana Republican legislators yesterday to do the same thing.
No, that’s a myth. The Texas constitution has some provisions about it... and there are supposed to be some words in the agreement to join that we could break up into 5 states, but in practicality we have every right, but no more ability than any other state, to seceded.
You know, I had been thinking that the fact that the nullification states were geographically disparate was a problem, but it might be a benefit - Makes it hard for the fedgov to crack down on all at once.
Be it known, I’m not advocating secession, just something to push back, get some pressure, get some clout against this voracious beast in washington.
I’m hoping to bring my Oklahoma License plate to the great city of San Antonio next fall. I couldn’t care less about beer. I was mostly joking though, Texas is good. It’s too hot, but it’s good.
That happens when you post without coffee. ;-)
The area around Mason, Menard, and Junction is also a good place for viewing wildflowers in the spring.
