Don’t mess with Texas
Go to Big Bend. They are protected. You can gently encourage them to leave your hotel room but you can’t squash them.
I’ve never met him but have seen videos from the state convention. I like him.
no we don’t have any money to stop people from entering our country illegally thru our great state of texas, because we need their votes for the socialist movement.but u can apply for bailout funds @ bo.com or my asst. @rambo.com.....:)>
I agree in principle, but it may be necessary to take it back piece by piece and reassemble it later.
Ping.
“The constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests.”-Patrick Henry
“I am TOTALLY against secession, we must take the entire United States back from the Commies.”
It’s nice to know I’m not the only one who feels that way.
Theirs was written in 1994, from what I've heard. I doubt that the current Cali legislature has any attention on this.
Just a reminder. This HCR is not about secession. It’s about the 10th amendment and sovereignty of the states. In Texas, we do have that ‘possibility’ of secession, but most of us figure it’s a long shot. It’s part of what give sus our swagger, I think.
That makes 23 states.
For the sake of the nation, let’s hope this opens some eyes in Washington.
Some people are just tarantula (and snake) magnets!
Oh, I don't. The thing is, I've had the "Texas" mindset for most of my life, but didn't know there was "a whole 'nother country" full of like-minded folks.
After moving here, my dad mailed me a certificate he'd gotten from Texas First Families that certifies that my family qualifies for that fine distinction. Turns out that my GG grandfather was born here prior to statehood.
I've cautiously mentioned it to native Texans, who've all given me a sort of Texas style thumbs up about it.
As they say, "I wasn't born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could."
*bump*
Just so. The one thing I know for certain, tyrants have never surrendered power without, ummm, coercion. The folks in DC have to get it in their thick heads that we mean business. By that I mean our respective states mean business. I'm convinced the states will not hold their ground unless there are enough folks still left that value the principles in our Constitution enough to stand with them. We should be calling, writing, faxing, and emailing everyone in every state house with encouragement, and maybe even a little prodding.
I'M SO THERE!!!
Thank you God that I had the wisdom to come to Texas!
I stared by sending e-mails to my two state reps and my state senator. Tomorrow, I shall telephone to their offices.
“This HCR is not about secession. Its about the 10th amendment and sovereignty of the states.”
And that’s good.
Well lookie here! It's not often I bump into another member of Texas First Families, but I'm here to tell you I am in proud possession of just such a document! My great, great......grandpa, who just happened to be a canebreak, circuit riding Baptist preacher, also fought Indians and Mexicans to tame the Texas frontier. Even wrote a book about it. VERY interesting. Tough life those folks had. Anyhow, for the rest:
