THE idea that a preservative once used in vaccines is to blame for rising autism rates has just been authoritatively debunked - again. Indeed, some of the key early "evidence" now stands exposed as fake.
Sadly, none of this will kill this myth - because it was never based on good science.

I think what they call “autism”, we used to just call “slow”.
Like that boy is “slow”, or a “simpleton”. Not completely mentally retarded to the point that they couldn’t function, just needed extra help or longer to learn.
Now if they aren’t talking in full sentences by three, they are diagnosing them it seems.
Not an expert, just an observation and not to say there aren’t truly autistic people. Just wondered what the rate of increase is compared to the criteria being broadened.
Gardasil protects against HPV types 16 and 18, which cause 70% of all cervical cancers, which is pretty good but not yet perfect. It also protects against types 6 and 11 which don't cause cancer but do cause 90% of genital warts. There are over 300,000 physician office visits a year in this country due to genital warts so this is also a great benefit of Gardasil.
I'm not convinced it is the vaccine itself, but perhaps the ingredients they use as carriers in the vaccines, because it isn't just our children being affected but our animals as well... that is something I have had personal experience with -- and people would be stunned at the sheer numbers in their population as well.
Sorry. I don’t know. We have two dogs but both came into our homes as adults. I know they had both had all their shots but from now on, I will try to avoid the shots.
>>Neither of us had any difficulties at all with either vaccine.<<
I’ve tried them twice. My hubby twice. We got sick.
Perhaps if I was still working in a Hospital setting, I would risk it.
We homeschool, no daycare, one of us working. I don’t feel it’s worth the risk for us.
I understand that. I was referring to the people who don't vaccinate due to fear of autism. The MSM played a great role in stirring up that hysteria.
This really bothers me when I read this on FR.
Catching HPV isn’t like the girl is just sleeping around. What if the boy had ONE encounter with a “loose” girl and brings it to YOUR virgin daughter on her wedding night?
If you don’t believe in the vaccine because you think it’s dangerous, fine. But to make it out that only sluts and whores needs it just stupid.
> Thats exactly what I was saying.
I should probably use my /s tag a bit more: but you had me figured out anyway.
On immunization, I have a brother-in-law who refuses to have his kids immunized. I think that’s just plain dumb.
Oh, no! You’re using personal judgment based on personal experience that contradicts what the Feds are telling you! To the camps with you!
Have you had autism in your family? At this point, I'm very concerned about the NEXT generation. I want to know what is the likely cause. Where's the science on this? I don't see a thing.
>>I think what they call autism, we used to just call slow.<<
Or many other behaviors. My Great Nephew was pegged as Autistic because he could read at three and had the energy of a Tasmania Devil. My niece-in-law took him to another doctor, who looked at him differently and diagnosed him as advanced.
He is now a happy, healthy seven-year-old.
Many things are stated to be “Autistic Spectrum”. I’m not sure about it all.
I think you were ahead of your time with your pups!
When there is a family sensitivity, the risk/benefit ratio is NOT on the side of vaccination.
My nephew was severely damaged, and after I began my son’s vaccinations, his leg swelled up so much he couldn’t walk, and he screamed a high-pitched scream for hours. There was NO WAY I was going to give him another vaccine. Period.
And out of four children, three totally unvaccinated, and him being partially vaccinated, he’s the only one with problems. He’s bipolar and ADD and has some kind of writing disability. Thank God he also tests above genius level, so he is able to compensate and succeed.
Some people are fortunate that they don’t have to agonize about whether they damaged their child or not.
It's time to discount that theory and focus autism research elsewhere.
Where? In the meantime, cases are growing. Maybe there’s a vaccine for it?
>>Maybe theres a vaccine for it?<<
Good one!
Your story is the perfect example of “every child is different”.
My girls made it through vaccines perfectly okay. They are allergic to Mosquito bites and get hives when they get too many or get them too many days in a row. I can’t tell you the amount of people that have told me “That’s impossible”. Right.
I feel that Pediatricians sometimes want all kids fitting in the round hole when some are round, some are square, some are diamonds and some are oval. Not every child is the same and there are different kids everywhere.
The high HPV rate isn’t because women are that promiscuous but because the men that they are with often are. That’s part of how they identified the relationship between STDs and cervical cancer years before the publicized it (it got mention in science magazines in the 1980s and 1990s). Nuns rarely got cervical cancer. Women in Latin American countries had high rates of cervical cancer despite being less promiscuous than the women in many other countries. The problem was that their husbands were promiscuous and were bringing it home. That’s why any plan to vaccinate only girls with an HPV vaccing is bogus. It’s men that spread it around.
I believe with every part of me that the gut has a role in this. There is a book by Karen DeFelice making the case for enzymes. It probably helps. In the case of my grandson, I am grateful that my daughter chose to not put him on any drugs. Would the outcome have been this good? We don't really know but I know those drugs cause a great deal of harm and I am very much anti-drug. If that makes me a crazy, that's ok with me. I don't care but I've seen the damage done by indiscriminate use of drugs.
>>Its men that spread it around.<<
WOW! I have never seen this before! Thanks for the information!
