They thought they were buying a piece of history but many customers now say they were ripped off.

A lot of them are feeling that way about the election too.

If you have seven, you can buy a box of Girl Scout cookies.

if you have two more you can buy a large coffee to drink with those cookies.

A guy that I work with who has no clue about numismatics bought a a few sets of these. He was telling me how they are going to be worth a fortune, etc. Since he voted for Obama, and has a serious case of BDS, I let him alone about it. Now I know why he has never mentioned anything about them again! Perhaps I will bring it up during casual conversation on Monday.

It’s even more symbolic than it appears at first thought.

Now that the 50 cent pieces, like the other coins, do not contain precious metal, they can properly be referred to as tokens.

Here’s a thread with a very funny short video showing two ‘brothers’ giving a ‘Mo Money’ seminar.

Enjoy.

The 2 ‘brothers’ in the short funny video satire on the thread below should have included a bit about these coins in their skit.

Enjoy.

I clearly remember seeing a dime in a display case
for sale. How unique and rare would a dime having a
mustache be? I was preparing to fork over $3.00
for this once in a life time incredible buy and then
my Dad informed me that it was simply a magic
marker mustache. I could hardly believe it. The
treasure had been snatched from my grasp, dreams,
of fortune, riches, and fame went...poof...I was 6.

“I watched the vid and feel bad for the people. They seem like they are genuinely nice people that were ripped off.”

I don’t feel bad for these IDIOTS! I’d sooner pay money for one of those varnished moose-turd swizzle sticks they sell as souvenirs in Alaska. These pathetic Dem losers are lucky if this is the worst thing that happens to them compliments of Hussein.

Do not make fun of the Obama commemorative coins.. In a few years they will be worth more than a Camel coupon.

Are you saying they're worth a Camel coupon now?

Or a gift card from Circuit City or Linens and Things?

Wow - almost a collectible... /sarcasm

Put yourself in my shoes. I work in a sh*tty grocery store to help put myself through college instead of going into massive debt like the rest of my friends. I’m on my feet for 8 hours, standing in one place, doing the same thing over and over again ad nauseum. I get to deal with all the welfare queens coming into the store, spending my hard earned tax dollars on steaks and ice cream.

The last thing I need at the end of the day, is to rearrange every periodical in my checkout line because a fellow freeper decided creating un-neccesary work for other people is a crucial part of the underground conservative movement. Focus your energy on something more effective, FRiend.
