WOW, Netflix CEO says “Tax Me More!”

Take a minute to read this wonderkind’s idea. And we wonder why we’re in trouble. Geeez.

I own a company myself and while my income is far less than Mr. Hastings, I would NEVER offer more of it to the federal government…never. Instead, if he’s so caring about the less fortunate in the country and wants to “invest” into it via tax policy, perhaps he should reconsider and provide half of his salary to people in his company…even if he already has a program, he can always add more to it. Or how about a local charity or abused women’s shelter or….you get the point.

His hypocrisy is that he can always voluntarily pay more then (which I doubt he’d do). Instead, he’ll tell the government to take more of his taxes and then use an accountant to find more creative loopholes to hide his income.

"Whip me, mistress."

Another clown who feels guilty about success and craves punishment.

There's no law against you voluntarily giving away your money, jackass. And you can hire a hooker to slap your ass for you.

Whenever I hear people tell me that we need higher taxes I ask them that if they were to inherit $10,000 and wished to use the money to help the poor what would they do? No one has ever said they’d donate the money to HHS.

That’s my latest protest -

anyone who is an 0bama/democRat supporter

gets asked “How much more are you planning on paying in taxes this year, since you obviously think you’re not being taxed enough?”

Of course he doesn’t mind. As Leona Helmsley once famously noted...the rich don’t pay taxes...this is why when people breathlessly report how our big companies pay the most taxes in the world, I laugh...they have armies of accountants and plenty of tax loop holes...it’s the individuals who make good money but too little to qualify for the tax benefits available for the truly wealthy who pay taxes. Small business takes it on the chin also.

Any individual citizen is perfectly free to send the government as much money as they want. There’s even a special address to send money for the payment of the national debt.

But no individual citizen has the right to force another citizen into paying more taxes.

NetFlix is the company that rides its cost of shipping DVDs on the back of the taxpayers.

If they had to pay full cost for the price of shipping fragile disks, THEIR costs would go up, and the Postal Service would gain some much needed revenue.

Where is Ralph Nader when we need him???

The guy is already ripping off the taxpayers through mail fraud of not paying full price for deliveries.

You seem to desperatly want to accuse Netflix of Mail Fraud, wanna spell out the details?

Did they work to decieve the Postal Service to achieve this?

Looking at a Netflix envelope as I type this, and it appears they are sent legally.

That's the thing I always tell these "tax us more" liberals. If they really are sincere about wanting to pay more taxes, they don't need the government to tell them to pay more. That can just pay it. The Treasury will accept their check as a voluntary contribution to reducing the national debt. Funny thing is, when I ask them if they've paid anything yet, they either say they haven't, or, more often, they get a sad, nasty look on their face and shuffle away mumbling some kind of insult.

I have often thought that some 'Pub should start a bill through requiring that any political leader who proposes higher taxes first make a "voluntary" contribution to the Treasury in an amount equal to what an average taxpayer would have to pay (or more). Lead by example, put their money where their big mouths are, first in line to pay.

Here’s a Fix for the whole issue.

Flat Tax. Set the Tax Percentage, and apply it straight across the board. No loopholes.

April 15th becomes the day you send Uncle Sam a Post Card.

They’ll just bumble words around and change the subject to something that closer reflects their mental capacity. Those who are so blinded by Obama will never admit that he’s a total puke.

Funny thing is, when I ask them if they've paid anything yet, they either say they haven't, or, more often, they get a sad, nasty look on their face and shuffle away mumbling some kind of insult.

The reason is that they don't really mean "tax us more" when they say that. They mean "tax other people who have more money than us more." While the words are coming out of their mouths, they are already thinking about where they could successfully stash their own money to avoid the tax increases they are advocating.

No matter how wealthy they are, it bothers them that others have more money than they do, and they think "those people" should be doing more to help the poor they feel guilty about.

The obama supporters I know, mainly have no jobs and one told me to my face...that what I build, create and make is as much his as it is mine.

At which time; my wife herded me away so I didn't beat the tar out of him.
