If enough people break a small and oppressive regulation, something will have to be done at the government level. Think Tea Tax and Boston Harbor. Right now the inmates are running the asylum that is America (and Canada, as referenced by Steyn). It’s time for us to revolt. If our phonecalls and pleas to representatives are falling on deaf ears, then we have to do something to make them take notice. No, not bombing a federal building in Oklahoma City. But how about the equivelent of what Mr. Steyn and Ms. Shaidle do every day? They ridicule the rules, post over-the-top and “offensive” articles, and make people laugh at the absurdity of silencing thought and opinion.

I always misreport on any government form that asks those kinds of questions. I’ve had some quizzical looks from the individual I hand the form back to.

How are they going to prosecute if 10 Million people do this though? Taking a page right out of the Cloward-Pivin hand book, which has been used so successfully against us, if VAST numbers overwhelm the system, the system can not deal with it.
I am going to stamp my currency with the “Obama’s Tax Cheat” note. Be curious how fast the protest spreads.

One might consider not telling them about minor little favors like this.
There is a census coming...you know to redistribute power, waste a few billions more dollars. I suggest this. In the race/ethnicity section, mark ‘native American’. If you’re born here, you are a native American. Fact. Let ‘em deal with that demographic.

I wondered about the census. They are going to mess with it. How can we make an impact -for our side-. Can we say there are 15 people (white cauc.) living in our home?
Are there laws ? (Not that it matters to them) Where can we find out the laws governing the census?
I’m sure if there are laws, there is something about the gerrymandering THE ONE is planning to do. We need to challange it.

Declare 27 hispanics and african americans living in your home. That should skew the census gerrymandering to your favor.
Wouldn't this lesson be better taught to the deadbeats that make up the bulk of the democRAT voters (not to mention about 1/2 of Obambi's appointees so far)? We, the productive, have certainly given more than our fair share to the collective Ceasar over the years.

I am a native American and I always check "white" for race and "American" for heritage.
I honestly do not believe it is any of the governments business what race any citizen is. I also think that if these questions were removed from the census it would help to ease racial tensions in the US. As long as it is legal for the government to delineate us by race, race will be a political issue.
Save a job or create a job. Return all unwanted mail to the sender. Use their return envelope. USPS will be doing overtime, (can’t store it or destroy it) must be returned.
In all seriousness, this is akin to what Obambi's going to do, now that the census is under the umbrella of the White House. He will cook the books in such a way that minority districts will grow in numbers so that they can gerrymander and so that they can get a larger portion of federal funds.
Looking back on the family tree, I believe that I am a minority myself. Best to fight lies with better ones in this particular case.

I recall one congressman trying to deal with the privacy aspects and the questions having nothing to do with ‘census’.

I have a simple solution to this whole problem: To vote in any election, you have to show that you gave, DIRECTLY, more in taxes than you received, DIRECTLY, in government services. You take from the government and you give up your right to vote, until such time that the equation works in the opposite direction.
