As I’ve said, this stimulus package is a TRAP!
It’s filled with pork and ever increasing government controls. The cognitively challenged voted for this Stalinist so we all have to suffer, but we don’t have to take it.
Government controlled socialized medicine is in this bill. It creates a new government bureaucracy: the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology which will be entrusted with ALL of our medical records. Eventually bureaucrats will adopt Tom Daschle’s “Meaningful user” designation to separate out those who will no longer receive health care because, by government standards, their terminal illness makes them unworthy of such treatment.
“Meaningful user” means your doctor will have to justify your treatment when you’re declared “terminally ill.”
It means a bureaucrat can say you don’t deserve further medical care; go home and die.
What does terminal mean?
In 1984 (ironic?) Colorado Governor Richard Lamm called dying a “DUTY” for terminally ill seniors!
At that time prostate cancer meant go home and die. Today it’s frequently a minor interruption of a man’s life.
Where else can this lead?
Last year England told 4000 “terminally ill” people to die because, they weren’t worth the expense of the drugs to keep them alive.
In 2008 Oregon told a “terminally ill” cancer patient the same thing, but her letter included a pamphlet on committing suicide!
Princeton’s Peter Singer’s dreams could come true. This monster recommends parents of Down Syndrome newborns be allowed (up to 2 days) to “bring the infant back” so the baby could be conveniently surgically murdered Soylent Green /1984 style.
Obama voted for letting miracle abortion survivors die neglected and alone on a cold steel table in a broom closet. Anything is possible now and “terminal” might soon mean “Let them die.” Let’s fight this outrage!

The reality is that health care is ALWAYS rationed. Either by the insurance company, the government, or the consumers themselves. You simply cannot have all the health care you want because SOMEONE has to pay for it.
Mostly the politicians are trying to hide or deny this provision in the stimulus package.

The main topic of this thread is not education. It is the Porkulus bill and, in particular its effects on health care.... But....Fundamentally, at the foundation of every one of these Democratic Marxist abominations is the Marxist indoctrination our nation's citizens have received in our K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.
You are completely right! Those who are old enough to have received an education in the principles of freedom are a threat to Obama. The rest are now merely Marxist sheeple.
As evidenced from the voting stats, young people massively voted for Obama. Those who didn't likely received their education in freedom from their older family members, certainly not in the schools.
This is why the Alinskyites targeted the government schools. There is a reason Bill Ayers is an education professor. The purpose is to indoctrinate our nation's children.
So?....What are conservatives doing about it? They are either doing nothing, or they **wrongly** believe that they can reform a system of government schooling that was a socialistic idea from its inception in the 19th century.
The Marxists are winning because they have had at least 2 generations of indoctrination in our K-12 schools, colleges, and universities.
I am exasperated.
When are conservatives going to wake up? Are they going to continue to allow their children ( our nation's next generation of voters) to slowing cook in the government school Marxist stew?

What I saw was with the duty to die, was an implicit statement that the sooner we die, the sooner there will be no one who remembers freedom.
