So where do we go now? (vanity)
self

Posted on 02/10/2009 10:38:33 AM PST by NoobRep

So where do we as true conservatives go from here? Obviously, there is a communist takeover of this country occurring right here and now now. Would Alaska be far enough away that we could escape this tyranny? I'm 33 years old and I feel completely helpless. This is not the country I once knew. How else do we fight this communist oppression?

Geithner just threw another trillion at TARP. There's no way we can borrow that much money without blowing the top off interest rates. I lived through the 70’s and it wasn't much fun - I don't need to do stagflation all over again.

I think the question is whether libtards can ever be moderate. The problem with certain laws is that they never stay moderate, and therefore shouldn’t exist in the first place, regardless of how well-meaning they may be at the beginning.

My husband summed it up last night..It’s over for us and anyone over 40...We worked all of our lives and earned everthing we had (had is the opperative word) to reach the point where at 66 he is back working after 5 years of retirement...I will need to work until I die....We do not live a large life but this is the way it is. I wish I knew what to do with all this anger I have. I spent many days calling Wahsington to no avail. I guess I better get my hips and knees replced soon....

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. And what country can preserve its liberties, if it’s rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” —Thomas Jefferson

Fear not. If a 300 year old quote from a patriot can be equated to today’s times, you know that current events can ulitmately be resolved under the same principles. Our Founding Fathers forsaw this happening. The only bad that can come of this is if we all stand around and watch it, let it happen.

Stand and fight because after all, dissent is patriotic.

None are so blind as those that cannot see. Who among us believe that with only the proper organization and right message, the California electorate would embrace conservative principles? No one, right, because we all recognize the tipping point was reached long ago in that state.

Well, I have news for you: the US has also passed the tipping point where resource consumers outnumber productive taxpayers. In other words, the US is now a center-left country; people enjoy the promise of government benefits and elected someone who promised them more.

Unless you are in complete denial, we have long ago passed the point where existing political processes could provide any means of effecting conservative change. The alternative then is that the state must fall & be reconstituted.

The steps BHO is taking is ensuring that the US will fail by either defaulting on its obligations and/or debasing the USD. Either way, the effect is the same: government financing will be reduced to cash operations. IOW, the welfare state dies. For this, we should be rejoicing. At the least, whisper to him to sip the potion to set events in motion.

Personally, I'm hoping for a USSR style collapse where the existing leadership just sort of disappears. One day they were in charge, and the next they were non-existent.

So, are we saying that the revolution has started? Are we ready to get some “skin in the game?” Do they need to push us more to get people active? Are we ready to take back our liberties?

The rebellion can begin in your state legislature.

You need to pressure your legislature to pass an assertion of sovereignty resolution. Several states have them in the works, but none has actually passed one.

When a state finally says,

No, you, the federal government, have no Constitutional authority to impose your will on our state in this issue.

Then we’ll see if arms are necessary.

Jen, we don't need to do a damn thing. Events are now transpiring which are being dictated by mathematics. As the number of unemployed increases, credit consumption contracts, the black/gray market (cash/barter) economies emerge which report/pay no income tax, and gov't service demands (UI, food, etc) skyrocket.

With or without multi-$trillion bailouts, the US cannot withstand the whipsaw of massive tax receipt short-falls and huge increases in demands for support. No one will buy our Treasuries to finance the deficits, and we can't print our way out without incurring hyper-inflation.

Just sit back and watch as events unfold; we are truly watching history in the making.

You referring to me with that pomposity? That's mighty sweet of you.

Or are you replying to the wrong poster? I've said nothing about California, proper organization or some of the other things you reference.

And I am not in "complete denial"; I just don't choose to wallow in gloom and doom. I have also lived outside the US for over five years now.

I don't necessarily agree with you that the US is a center-left country either. I believe people have gotten complacent and it's going to take something like this awful economy to wake them up.

maybe a public execution of porky pigs on the steps of the Capitol. ..? or Frozen ones will do ?
Or let’s print the 600 page stimulus, shred it to bite size, throw in some corn meal and Feed it to live Pigs ?

"The rebellion can begin in your state legislature."

We're way ahead of you. Missouri is pushing a resolution to reassert the 10th Amendment and I am a local precinct leader. I'm just trying to motivate people. I did not necessarily mean to grab your Henry rifle, but...

“Just sit back and watch as events unfold; we are truly watching history in the making.”

Sorry, but taking the pacifist role is not something I plan to do or have done and I would put myself to shame if I just excused current events as being historic. Nazi Germany was historic. The USSR was historic.

What do we do now? - My suggestions...#89

Rally for Our Republic / Vigil for the USA

Democrat and Conservative voters, reasoning together.

About 75 sign ideas on my FR page.

http://www.freerepublic.com/~goldengate/

From FR mail: It goes to conference with the House. Democrats are saying they will have a finished product for Obama to sign within a week...

FYI all - Once again, I gave up on talk radio last spring during / after the GOP primary fiasco. Someone post a month ago, the '~new~ media is like the old media'. Since the usurper & Porky issue have emerged, I'll listen a little to a few of the hosts at night, to see what they think.

It was the first time that I heard Bill Cunningham. And I think it was Rusty Humphries who said, ~ 'Drip, drip, drip... how the corruption of Barack Obama slowly comes dripping out...' - after the election. And here's more. From other articles too, evidence / speculation suggesting that the Sept.? economy meltdown contrived. Dems, & GOP Treasury... Just saw the link to this video:

Then by all means continue to participate - make those calls, send those faxes & emails. Let's see where that gets you.

Some understand finance & math, some don't. Once you realize that the US has squarely placed its neck in the noose, there's nothing to do but sit back & watch. Oh, and plan on fighting over the estate.

In that sense you have a great advantage. Hopefully, you'll apply your knowledge to the side of liberty rather than the continuation of tyranny. Cheers.

Live pigs might be a problem; what with moving 800 lb. animals around plus feed for them all. Frozen ones they would thaw out and have a barbeque on us.

But rotting carcasses, maybe a week old, would do the trick. They would NEVER get that smell out. This has to be a dead of night, precise maneuver. It can’t be Deltas breaking into Dean Wormer’s office.

I would love to secede. I’m not kidding

I live in Illinois, but my Mom's side of the family comes from the South. You will not find a better, friendlier, more patriotic group of people than Southerners.

If the South decides to seceds again, I'm there. To hell with this.

I can live with that!

Makes me sick.

Sounds like you are at step 4; only one more to go before acceptance. Look at this as a huge chance to make history! Change is coming, and through our efforts we might make this world a better place.
