WASHINGTON -- President Obama said Monday he is considering whether to overturn a Pentagon policy that bans the media from taking pictures of the flag-draped coffins of U.S. troops returning from the battlefield.
A leading military families group says the policy, enforced without exception during the administration of former President George W. Bush, should let survivors of the dead decide whether photographers can record their return.

Man, everyday there’s something new to dislike about this man.
I just don’t believe that the majority of photographers would use these pictures respectfully and they would just be another way to malign the military.
It doesn’t bother me a whole lot either, provided that the families get to decide. Sounds fair to me.
Obama is a control freak that wants to control every aspect of this country.
They want to parade the dead for propaganda purposes.
However, Bush isn’t president anymore, so what’s the point. I don’t see how this helps Obama any. As a matter of fact, Obama pointed to stability in Iraq and it’s Democratic elections as a success. Obama won’t have all our troops home in 16 months. He doesn’t want to be the guy that ran away from a victory that Bush was responsible for. He wants to take credit for it, instead.
Anti-war propaganda trumps privacy concerns when 0bama is calling the shots.

These photos would be red meat for the left of left — his base.
I know I know, its just sick how they would the bodies of the Honorable dead to try and paint then as anything other than people that have been willing to sacrifice their BLOOD for others, while we sit at home comfy with American Idol singing and advertising in the background. Scares the crap out of me. Makes me SICK.

Thats the thing, they have sacrificed something for this country! That MATTERS, and Obama and the freakin liberals have got to recognize that. At least give them some RESPECT, at the very least.

Yeah, It might remind his voters he hasn’t met the main campaign promise he made, ..to end the war.
If Obama ever has to order any military action, and that’s not so unlikely, this order will come back to bite him on the butt. Can he really not see that?

Hey, I don't remember photographers crawling all over his grandmother's coffin when she died?! How about we pay our greiving military families the same level of RESPECT the world showed this Zero?
by all means allow the media to politicize dead troops even more than they already have
