Severin: Porkulus includes medical care rationing based upon person's age
WTKK-FM | 2/9/09 | Severin

Posted on 02/09/2009 12:32:36 PM PST by pabianice

Jay Severin is on now on WTKK-FM, in Boston.

Severin, a "recovering lawyer," claims that part of Porkulus includes rationing medical care by a formula based upon a patient's age. The older the patient, the further back in line a person stands for any treatment. The bill includes a National Healthcare Office and National Healthcare Coordinator (a WHAT?). ACORN's $4.1B remains in the bill. ACORN is the current iteration of the Black Panthers.

Obama is killing on both ends of the scale. First it was unlimited abortion, even killing the few babies that survive a botched abortion and now he is going after the elderly. Nazi Germany here we come. The Gestapo cannot be ruled out in the future. (National Civilian Defense Force). He already has Brown Shirts out there-—those supporters who conduct randam vandalism on vehicles that still sport a McCain sticker. My truck has been vandalized multiple times..My wife wants me to remove McCains sticker.

Electronic medical records have been pushed by Newt Gingrich and his favorite socialist, Hillary Clinton.

Don’t you just love the very idea?

I thought McCain was the one who was going to tax a person’s health benefits, starve old people, single moms and children.

One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions

How is this not Communism? I think the awkward stage is about to end.

I heard about this on Rush today. No news outlets reporting this.

Seems we are all being sold out. The media is worthless.

The gov't will build a "box". Those who fit in the box will get care. And those who fit in this box will be those who do what gov't likes: no drugs, no fat foods, right age, plenty exercise, no disability including old age, those who are not overweight, those who follow doctor orders, those who respond to treatment, those who don't cause problems, etc.

Don't know what happens to those who have money who are outside box like Rumsfeld who is older and Kennedy who is older and overweight and h/o alc abuse. What happens to these rich folks? Guess they will pay out of pocket which most of us just can't afford> thousands of dollars for surgery or other treatment.

I just do not like this!!!

Remember the 1973 movie, “Soylent Green”? They had special places where elderly people were taken to commit suicide. I’m surprised the bill doesn’t have funds for that too.

I am totally against electronic medical records. They violate the very core of my right to privacy.

The “safety” of having medical records available to a strange doctor in the event of an emergency is far outweighed by the potential for abuse.

My oldest son is in the third year of med school. He wants to specialize in either neuro or plastic. He wounld’t be done until he is around 35. I’ve been telling him for a couple years to plan on working down in the Caymans or somewhere like that in a health resort hospital type setting. Dems will have destoried our heathcare system by the time he graduates.

There are far more experienced people over 55 that are worthwhile to the country as a whole than the young punks who have no skills and don’t want to do anything resembling a job- they just want to deal drugs.

Ted Kennedy should be the first victim of this policy. He has destroyed his own health through his drinking, so he should not get any treatment for the brain tumor. Treat someone who hasn’t destroyed their bodies.

***Pretty soon they will just knock off the old people.***

Is anyone really surprised at this? The other side of the abortion coin is forced euthanasia for the elderly. The only thing I’m surprised about is that we are headed towards it so quickly - I didn’t think it would be this year!

Remember Hillary’s plan that private treatment outside her plan was going to be a crime?

If Rush hadn’t taken last week off, Porkulus would be dead. Taking a holiday was very irresponsible on Rush’s part.

My father just celebrated his 98th birthday at the end of December. With Zerobama’s “Health Care” in place there won’t be many people left in the US who will be able to live that long.

” I assume they dont intend to ration medical care under private policies”

Our private policies were canceled the day that we turned 65.

You can’t buy private insurance after 65, it’s illegal,

It isn’t rush limbaugh’s fault. If it weren’t for the 3 stooges republicans the bill would be dead.

Not to mention that the Democrats will deemed that doctors are vastly overpaid and will have established some government commission to set salaries for them.
