If Mexico collapses, the refugee strain on Texas will be catastrophic. Gov. Hairdo has probably got the fellas over at Camp Mabry (Texas military HQ) burning the midnight oil working on containment and channeling plans. I see tent cities, mile after mile of them, guarded by troops...
The US cannot afford to have Mexico controlled by warring narco-warlords. A collapse is coming, sooner or later, and when it does even Muad’dib will have no choice but to send in the boys.
This time, let’s annex it, grant statehood to those Mexican states that want in, and establish the rule of law and the US Constitution.

It is scary. Living 18 miles from the Mexican border makes you think a lot about defense because you couldn’t shoot them all. I told my husband we’d have to dig trenches and fill them with sharpened bamboo sticks aroung the perimeter of our land or at least our houses.
