The US cannot afford to have Mexico controlled by warring narco-warlords. A collapse is coming, sooner or later, and when it does even Muad’dib will have no choice but to send in the boys.

Nice thought, but I think the opposite will happen. We will catch the Mexican sickness. Also, millions of new Mexican citizens will mean a permanent (Liberal) kleptocracy. We’re headed that way anyway, but it will accelerate things by a decade or two.
