Three Paragraphs That Pulverize Obama’s Stimulus Plan [Defeat Porkulus!]

I imagine there are many conservatives out there, believers in free markets, who know in their gut that the stimulus plan is a mistake. Who well understand there’s no such thing as a free lunch. But perhaps it has not always been easy to refute facile arguments in favor of the plan.

It is now. The Wall Street Journal has served up three succinct paragraphs that pulverize the essence of the Obama plan. They serve as a handy primer, or provide the ammo, if you prefer a martial metaphor, for defeating the arguments most commonly made on behalf of the $1 trillion spending bill.

The kernels of wisdom are contained in a WSJ editorial entitled “The Stimulus Tragedy.” Here they are:

The mot ominous part of the Obamulus Plan is $4 billion to ACORN. That is a largish multiple of the funds that outfit has had access to ere now. ACORN will become the controller of elections at the national level and probably at the state level in at least some key states. Add to that Hussein has taken over control of the Census so the numbers will show that there must be more Congressional Representatives in states that reliably return Democrats and fewer in states that return Republicans. Now when we get Amnesty later in the year, that is the end of the two party system and the beginning of hard command socialism and there will be no recourse short of actual armed rebellion.

If government spending could stimulate the economy, the Republicans would still be in control of Congress.

Spending to stimulate the economy is like trying to run your car on electricity generated by the car’s alternator.

...and there will be no recourse short of actual armed rebellion.

So there are plenty of reasons to be hopeful that we can turn this thing around, right?

EVERY PORKULUS-PUSHING WORD coming out of Obama's mouth was written by his COS Rahn Emanuel (who is a tax cheat). Read on:

Countless Americans will pay more and more for Obama's "share the wealth " ---- that does NOT apply to his nominees.....Solis, Kellifer, Geithner and Daschle.

BUT WAIT Obama's COS Rahm Emanuel apparently lives tax free in a magnificent Chicago mansion owned by "The Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation." According to the Cook County Assessor’s website, the Chicago home of four-term Democrat Congressman and new White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, doesn’t exist........there seems to be no public record of Emanuel ever paying property taxes on this home.

TAX CHEATS are driving Rahm Emanuel's hidden agenda. Obama and his butt kicking COS, Rahm Emanuel, figure "we won" means they can get away with murder, and appoint tax cheats and lobbyists---that America would kneel in obeisance.

That ain't happening. by a longshot.

God-fearing Black church-goers who voted for Obama are teed-off----one of the reasons Daschle is out.

God-Fearing Black church-goers who voted for Obama will be even more teed-off that this twerp Rahm Emanuel---a multi-millionaire----is not paying property (and other?) taxes---while Black families are struggling to survive.

TIPOFF was when Obama went public to explain the screw-up---nominating tax-cheat Daschle. Obama was talking to his adoring supporters----they were expecting MUCH MUCH more from him than tarnished appointees---and 17 lobbyists who got jobs in his admin.

It was also surprising that Obama foolishly took on Rush Limbaugh----which highlighted "porkulus" and gave the Repubs a leg up---and the ability to define the boondoggle. That led to Obama's current problems getting porkulus passed---AMONG DEMOCRATS. Again, Obama's adoring supporters turned the tables on him. We need to start blast-mailing Black churchgoer groups to get the word out.

============================================

Q. How to get an Obama Cabinet appoinment? A. Cheat on your taxes.

Very True:

The gay issue in California and lifting the ban on late term abortions also has the black church-goers quite disappointed.

I’ve been wondering where the term “Porkulus” came from? The Latin suffix -ulus means “small, little.”

AFAIK, this thing isn’t small pork or little pork.

Great, so a poll shows wide disapproval, so what? The pigs are going to vote for it no matter what we little people say. It’s over, I guess I’ll just get in line for my free cheese now.

Far too much good sense and logic in those three paragraphs to be of interest to the LibTard DhimmiRats.

Time to take back the country, IMO. Starting with this porkumongous spending bill...

Sure, with anyone who criticize "the one". 0 has 20 million supporters locked at his hip. They are so invested in him they will never fail to support him. Add to this the hardcore radicals who hate private enterprise and 0 has at least 35 million plus who "worship" him.

Don't waste resources on the black community try and reach the Hispanics and blue collar Rats.

The kernels of wisdom are contained in a WSJ editorial entitled “The Stimulus Tragedy.” Here they are:

Mr. Obama is now endorsing a sort of reductionist Keynesianism that argues that any government spending is an economic stimulus. This is so manifestly false that we doubt Mr. Obama really believes it. He has to know that it matters what the government spends the money on, as well as how it is financed. A dollar doled out in jobless benefits may well be spent by the worker who receives it. That $1 of spending will count as economic activity and add to GDP.

But that same dollar can’t be conjured out of thin air. The government has to take that dollar away from someone else — either in higher taxes, or by issuing new debt in the form of a bond. The person who is taxed or buys the bond will have $1 less to spend. If the beneficiary of that $1 spends it on something less productive than the taxed American or the lender would have, then the net impact on growth will be negative.

Some Democrats claim these transfer payments are stimulating because they go mainly to poor people, who immediately spend the money. Tax cuts for business or for incomes across the board won’t work, they add, because those tax cuts go disproportionately to “the rich,” who will save the money. But a saved $1 doesn’t vanish from the economy, unless it is stuffed into a mattress. It enters the financial system, where it is lent to others; or it is invested in the stock market as capital for businesses; or it is invested in entirely new businesses, which are the real drivers of job creation and prosperity.
