Filmmakers Take on DC: Obama, Clintons Heros, Palin the Fool
NewsBusters ^ | February 9, 2009 | Warner Todd Huston

Hollywood filmmakers are ruminating about taking on the 2008 political season. Towering personalities, scintillating stories, and epic clashes abound. The stories of the 2008 political campaign are pretty stimulating. We had the aging Democratic establishment in the form of the Clintons taking on the fresh young face in Obama, not to mention the first black candidate of note. We also had a close fought Democratic primary that went to a nail biting finish. On the GOP side we had the amazing emergence of the hockey mom from Alaska. Heartwarming family woman, popular governor, tender mother of a special needs child. A self-made woman from humble beginnings. Seems like some stories that could make for some compelling movies, eh?

So, how is Hollywood looking to treat these incredible stories? Would you be surprised that the Clintons and Obama stories are set for high drama, earnestly told... and Palin's is for comedy and satire? Would it shock you that only Sarah Palin is to be ripped, attacked, made fun of and satirized? I didn't think you would.

> No they don’t...they are getting a bailout from their Messiah Obama with flyover tax dollars.

YUP! One obvious use for bailout money is to grease the organs of Propaganda and make them eternally grateful. Spot on!

> The liberal rag newspapers are getting a bailout from Obama too...NBC/MSNBC/CNBC and every GE propaganda machine is now an unholy owned subsidiary of the DNC!!

YUP! And they will do as they are told, too.

And for Bonus Points Obama is, at the same time, planning to cripple Talk Radio (RNC’s main counter-measure) with the “Fairness Doctrine”

Watch for moves against Conservative websites soon...

> Immelt is going to work for Obama for cryin out loud!

YUP! No prizes for guessing why, either.

> This is not the ‘ole bias’ going on here. It is a communist/marxist take-over of our country.

YUP! And your post is the first one that I’ve seen that spells it out in simple terms that everyone can understand.

WELL SAID!

Sure, good preparation is imperative, as is getting free of dragdowns like McCain’s staff. At the same time most of these poll numbers are ridiculous beyond stretch. They are leftist Propaganda, and you know it. I am wary of your blind trust into pollsters like SanFran Chronicles, LA Times, CNN, CBS or AP. Boldening the letters doesn’t reinforce their validity. If these numbers were true the GOP would have done considerably worse and Palin would not create so much enthusiasm and fear respectively.

If she were prepared and able to answer questions without looking foolish, then they couldn't paint her that way.

Except that in most instances the claims about Palin were lies. The things about Africa (lie by Cameron), Tasergate (she acted legally and legitimately), Wardrobe (not her purchase, responsible staffer a Obama mole), Newspapers (see Ziegler interview) , Seeing-Russia (SNL said that...) were BS, all of them debunked. Would have better preparation prevented the MSM from inventing things about her? No. Not to mention the countless vitriolic attacks below the waistline against her family. They attack her for who she is, not what she does.

Yup. That's 28% of the voters.

You need a plan to get to 51%.

The enemy had Sarah mapped out and had her destruction plotted within 48 hours of Dayton. THEY understand who and what she is.

They never waver, they never rest, they never give up.

She has to start to counter her public image or she's going nowhere. How popular she is with 28% of the voters is of no importance if the other 72% are watching The View.

The funny thing is, hollywood needs us dumb rubs from fly-over to survive

No, the funny thing is that you keep pouring cash and attention into the moronic "stars", to publications and programs devoted to them and to their worthless lives, and you keep patronizing the putrid effluent of their socialist propaganda ministry.

You dumb rubes from flyover country (to use your words) are selling them the rope to hang you with, and you're happy about it.

So true and it is the real Gov. Palin the rats should worried about. After the election Gov. Palin gave some interviews and started to change some of the rats point of view about Gov. Palin.

Oh come on, the left is going to do what it always does, and we’re going to kick their asses in 2012. Obama is already alienating people around the planet. Give him a few more weeks.

That would have been a good bet, except for Bush's debacle in 2008. Republicans will make gains only if they think Obama is worse than Bush.

Jim, we got 47.5% of the vote. Where are you getting that 28% figure?

We would have gotten more votes without McCain. I’m one of them.
