Jim Rob is kicking off Monday with a 10AM meeting at Arlen Specters office, 711 Hart Senate Office Building. Freepers are meeting there. If you cant make it Monday, hes your second chance. Jim Rob is to be there both days.
While I cant make it to D.C. on Monday but on TUESDAY I will be on Constitution Avenue in front on the Russell and/or Hart Buildings on Tuesday to help coordinate this days Senate visits and to protest the Porkulus Bill.
I will be there between 9:30AM and 3PM. I plan to have a tall protest sign so look for that land mark. If you think you need a face to go with my screen name, check out the second picture in this Walter Reed AAR. Im the one on the left. And yes, Ill have my supply of cigars.
Closest metro is the Union Station Red Line. After you get out of Union Station, go a little left of your line of sight with the Capitol Building. You will run directly into the senate buildings.
Temps will be in the 60s, Zero chance of rain.
There is a closure vote on the bill Monday late so final plans for Tuesday will still have to be determined.. Look for the Update Post Number in the thread title on Monday night.
I will be working with Kristinn on a list of Senators to visit. I will also have some protest posters.
Cookcountys List of all of Spector, Snowe and Collins Phone numbers
Hoosiermamas Thread of Senators numbers to call
D.C. Chapter Master Ping List AND to those who said theyll be there or expressed interest.
Great going!! We are all with you even if we can’t all make it there.
May God protect you and guide you. Thank you for your patriotism.
There is no substitute for leading by example! You guys are the best!!
GO get’em.....they only Govern with the “Consent of the People”
Give ‘em HELL for us!
Of course I applaud your efforts but as one from PA I can say that Arlen is guided by Scottish law so there you go.(it is a lost cause with him, he does not fear losing the primary anymore, he knows his health is poor).
Consent of the People” why..why..you radical! :)
Anyone heading down from the Philly/South Jersey area for Tuesday? I’d love to go, but am wary of going alone. The Chief would prefer me to have a traveling companion. Freepmail me.. I could share gas costs or I could drive, makes no difference to me.
Smoke one for me brother! Make sure you voice my concern as well...I know you all will.
I’m looking at Tuesday, Amtrak. Should get me to Union Station around 9:am. Depends on work tomorrow.
Please keep in tune.
This scheme will get enacted by hook or by crook. It should be cleat that it belongs to the Democrats, Pelosi and Reid in particular. Let them stand or fall on its success or failure,
Especially, let them own the increase in the national debt.
Signed.
Is this going to be an ongoing thread for the protest so we can monitor the events and show our support?
Done!
If you happen to run across Evan Bayh here is some backgroud information that might help convince him to stand up and be a man.
Bye, -bye,-Bayh needs a good freeping.
In December he tried to organize fellow democrat senate members into a group that would equal the Blue Dogs in the house. He knows who is wavering against the far left in the Senate. Should be encouraged to renege on this bill and encourage others to do the same.
Last week he spoke openly about the problems of this bill on national TV.
He is running for reelection in 2010. He needs to be reminded that “his” party is nolonger. It has been stolen out from under him.
Remind him that either Mike Pence or Mitch Daniels would be good fiscal conservatives to take his seat.

I just came through that geographic area( 1 hour ago) on the way from SC to Pa. I cannot make DC but will email Darlin Arlin about the matter. Specter is not known for his fondness for conservatives until election time. I do wish he could be replaced
