President Obama has had, by general consent, a torrid First Fortnight. To put it another way, it has taken precisely two weeks for the illusion that brought him to power to be exposed for the nonsense that it so obviously was. The transformational candidate who was going to sweep away pork-barrel politics, lobbyists and corruption has been up to his neck in sleaze, as eviscerated here by Charles Krauthammer. Despite the fact that he came to power promising to ‘ban all earmarks’, his ‘stimulus’ bill represents billions of dollars of special-interest tax breaks, giveaways and protections -- which have nothing to do with kick-starting the economy and everything to do with favouring pet Democrat causes.
He has been appointing one tax dodger, lobbyist and wheeler-dealer after another. After appointing one official ,Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who had unaccountably forgotten to pay his taxes, he then watched his designated Health Secretary Tom Daschle fall on his sword because he too had taken a tax holiday. Daschle was furthermore a prominent actor in the world of lobbying and influence-peddling. Leon Panetta, Obama’s nominee for Director of the CIA has also, according to the Wall Street Journal, consulted for prominent companies and sat on the board of a public affairs firm that lobbies Congress. The Weekly Standard reports that Secretary of Labour nominee Hilda Solis was not only involved with a private organization lobbying her fellow legislators on a bill that she helped sponsor, but she apparently kept her involvement secret and failed to reveal a clear conflict of interest.
In foreign policy, Obama has started by trashing his own country through grossly misrepresenting its history and grovelling to America’s enemies such as Iran, which has flicked him aside with undiluted contempt.

Yep...But the only way to tell the difference between the Dems and the Repubs is to look at the beneficiaries of the give-aways...
At least under Osama Obama, some of the money may wander around the US before it heads to China...
Just as that idiot Georgia peanut farmer was really the only thing that could make the GOP look good again after Nixon - Ford, so will Hussein, again. As an added bonus, he will further education of the youngsters growing up that did not go through the Carter years...
And how did the 44th President react to the growing public dismay over the mess he was making? He threw his toys out of the pram -- or perhaps that should read, he got into the pram. For he fled the scene of the disaster and sought the company of seven year-olds instead. As the Telegraph reported:
‘We were just tired of being in the White House,’ he told a group of excited seven-year-olds before discussing Batman and reading them a book.

Yep. We’re pretty much screwed.
But he’s laying the groundwork for 2010 and 2012 if the GOP can get it’s act together and go back to basic Conservatism; a platform that always wins by a landslide.
And we need a real Conservative in office and we need Conservatives in Congress and we need to win HANDILY at every race from Dog Catcher on up so we don’t have these STUPID re-counts (See MN) which continue until a ‘Rat whines long enough, wears everyone down at the SC level and wins.
It’s really pretty simple. But, can it be done? Therein lies the rub. *SHRUG*
The only difference between “liberals” and socialists/communists is that the communists know what they’re doing.
The only difference between “liberals” and Satan is that he knows the end game.
Or, we all move to the 28 states that are drafting reassertion of state sovereignty legislation,
and tell the fedgov to go pee up a rope.

Yeah, a majority of our voters cast their ballots for him, but I recall the rest of the bloody planet egging them on. Now we all have to live with the consequences.
Note to rest of the world: Next time, but the Heck out of our election.

Lets face it, Americans got tired of being thought of as being dumb by the rest of the world and set to prove it! We are dumb.
I will be working to organize my precinct for the Republican party in 1.5 weeks. I’m hoping my involvement at the lowest level will continue to open avenues of involvement up the chain of command.
It will take each person involving themselves in ways they’ve never done before to claw back liberties this country is putting in jeopardy even now.
I’ve been a passive supporter, vocal among my friends and family and immediate neighbors.
Time to do more.
We could do that, too. :)
