He causes it. As a voter, I’m not sympathetic, because Congress gives me heartburn and expects me to live with it.
We’re aiming at the wrong targets. Call Michael Steele’s office and demand that the RNC withdraw support from any Congressman who supports this bill.
It would be an act of self-preservation, since any Republican fingerprint on this atrocity is likely to further estrange the party from its base.

Am I the only one here questioning the continued viability of this landmass we call The United States of America?
I am SERIOUSLY in doubt, and for the first time in my life, I question whether this Nation will survive. We have an Usurper in the White House - a NATURALIZED citizen, and a congress acting AGAINST the best interest of the people they are supposed to represent.
Why should I pay taxes? To what? A government out to rip my honestly earned wages from me? From my children? WTF.
FReepers.... I am not going to present to know the answers, but I do know this much, we no longer have a representational Government. Specter ADMITTED that the input that Congress was getting from the PEOPLE was overwhelmingly NEGATIVE - “DO NOT PASS THIS BILL!” - and they did it anyway.
Our Government no longer represents the best interests of the people.
It’s up to US, those who recognize the value of freedom, the value of the very simple principle our fore-fathers laid down for us: The Government that governs least governs best.
What do we do now?
