Is this for real or is it from The Onion or Scrappleface?

research what others have said this bill will do - as nefarious as the bill reads, the implications are shocking

Luckily, I’m never in a position for that to happen.

Last I heard, this was in committee and had just about zero chance of ever getting onto the floor for a vote...

I've always thought people with pitch forks standing around a politician’s office was more intimidating anyhow - the ultimate recall vote.

Might as well just hand them over.
The way I see it the fighting American is fading away with the WWII generation.
The following generations seem to be going along fine with whatever the gov’t goons tell them to do.
Today’s American rejects reason outright. They don’t want to be bothered with the facts or reality.
They’re being stripped of their freedom right now—one would have predicted someone would put up a fight.
It’s pretty amazing how easily it is falling apart.
I don’t recognize this country anymore.

This is the first step in the disarming of America for a Communist takeover.
The Founding Fathers left us the Second Amendment. Let's see if we have the courage and good sense to use it.

Don't take gossip for fact. Go to the bill and read it directly. It has no cosponsor and has been sent to committee-House Judiciary Committee- hopefully to die a quiet death.
One would think Heller v. DC hadn't been written. One would think the Second Amendment hadn't been written.
This is the most direct and pointed attack on American freedom since... what, yesterday? This is going to be a long four years of Jimmy Carter II.

This is a "stalking horse" bill: it's deliberately over-the-top and obviously unconstitutional and sponsored by a guy with an IQ below room temperature.
Once the furor dies down, the real legislation will show up that "only restricts dangerous assault rifles" or "just calls for mandatory trigger locks" or "limits unmarked ammunition" and the less-than-brilliant among us will breathe a sigh of relief and say "at least they didn't go after my .38 special".
Not yet, anyway - that's next.

Article I. Section 9. No Bill of Attainder or ex post facto Law shall be passed.
What part of that don’t you understand?
As for registration, just try.

The bill goes retroactive after two years. Meaning that two years after the passage of the bill, ALL FIREARMS in a citizens possession must be registered, not just those purchased after the bill passes, and this apparently applies to antique firearms as well. Ain't gonna' happen! They can KMA!

I just renewed my NRA membership for another three years. My congressman is a Democrat, but is solidly pro 2A. I’ve written to all my representatives and let them know that I feel very strongly about this issue and will not vote for them if they support gun control.
