Saquin, prepare to be flamed by the ones on here that have not grown up. I’m seeing more and more of this crap on here. There are SO MANY legitimate things to go against Obama and the Democrats for, why are so many people on here wasting their time with this nonsense. Are these people really so delusional that they really believe that “Obama is freeing his Muslim brothers?” I am good friends with the mother of one of the USS Cole victims and talked with her just a few minutes ago. She has NO PROBLEM with this, she knows it is just procedural. I think maybe we should be buying stock in the tinfoil industry.

Who determined we need a 120 day review?

Saquin, prepare to be flamed by the ones on here that have not grown up. Thanks for the support. I've got my flameproof suit on, though, and have had it on for quite a while. There's been a lot of idiocy on here lately and I call 'em as I see 'em. That means I get called a "DU troll" a lot but I don't particularly care. I care about the truth.

What speaks volumes here is the bad PR job done in explaining why this happened. In the absence of information, people will come to their own conclusion whether correct or not. Don’t blame people for a reaction created by the poor way in which this announcement was made.

But it was Obama’s own stupid “120 day review” that led to this. So he’s still responsible.

This procedural move would not have even been necessary had the One not ordered the closure of Club Gitmo. That was a boneheaded move.

You are correct on a variety of issues....but not this one.
If you know the mother of one of the victims then she probably doesn't understand. The mastermind of her child's murder was going to be convicted and executed by military tribunal. But now will enter the civil system where name-seeking lawyers will flock in. The risk of her child's murder getting off because of a technicality or nutty judge just went up exponentially. The "speedy trial" issue will be brought up first amongst other things.
There is a lot of pettiness here about Obama. But not this.
If one of the big fish gets loose because of this then Obama is going to have the mother of all political blowback.

The unfortunate thing is that this seems to be rampant on all topics on FR these days. And if people think it doesn't make FR look like a bunch of ignorant loons, then they've stuck their heads deeply in the sand.
I often wonder if the knee-jerk faux conservatives are agents provocateur.
