Does it matter anymore? We’re almost to the point where the laws don’t matter. Geinter (however you spell his name, dashelle, etc) And no, it wasn’t stolen and I haven’t made a report. I’m still a conservative who is trying to abide by the laws. But there will come a time when we’ll all be lawbreakers. We’re all thinking about when we’re under martial law, ‘for the good of society’ crap. Have you read Atlas Shrugged? I’m sure you have.
Our local Walmart has run out of ammunition of all types. Apparently there’s a back order across the country. I intended to purchase additional ammunition, but apparently waited too long. Ooops.
Well, that could be the good news.
Yes, well laws are tending to apply only to some people these days. That is very unfortunate too. It devalues the rule of law across the board.
I have not read Atlas Shrugged. While others have been enamored with Ayne Rand, I’ve not climbed on board. That isn’t a statement on Rand. It’s just the reality of it.

I had a brief conversation last night with a "chap" from England at the fitness club I belong to where he stated he sees absolutely no problem with the U.S. government enacting these anti-gun laws. Apparently not all Brits are awake.
I’ll do that. While I’m at it, I need to purchase a new handgun.
The first thing will be regulations on ammo, second, where it’s sold (5 inches from a park, school, church, etc), they’re already trying to serialize ammo. we’re living in an upside down world. I’m not a die hard christian, but there was some interesting stuff reported about bambi. If anyone would like to see more, freepmail me. Can you make 45 ammo like shotgun shells? Biden and his lame beretta comment, yeah right. I’ll bet 10 bucks he’s never seen a beretta. Perhaps I can show him mine.

Well he doesn’t have a second amendment protecting his right to own weapons over there.
I watched a program the other night where tens of thousands of British citizens were walking in the streets to protest the gun laws. They have seen crime rise by 30 to 60%, and they are afraid.
Over there you can’t be certain that shooting an intruder won’t wind up with you in prison either.
It’s a real mess. The liberals can’t wait to get all this enacted here as well.
Don’t think of AS as a bible, read it like a story. You should get it and read it, before it’s banned. She has a lot of insight to what’s going on now, and she wrote it 60 years ago. There are parts of the novel that are just a drag. Skip those parts, you won’t miss the gist of the story. Later, you can go back and mine it for your important insites. The overall story is eerily similar to what’s going on today. If anything, you’ll know the buzz words people are refering to. It’s a fast moving novel, if you skip the long, drawn out soliloquies. If you want a taste, get Fountainhead, (or the gary cooper, 1940’s movie, TCM airs it now and then) it’s similar before she got wordy in Atlas Shrugged.
Anyway, she was profound outlying on how socialism creeps into a society.
All gun owners should march to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. with their firearms and tell Obama, “Go ahead, arrest us”.
Another huge mistake(imho) that the GOP did the last few years was running from ‘Big Oil’. The marxist media and the dems demonized them in a way that would have made Saul Alinsky proud and the GOP lost their spine after years of the constant attacks. Bill O’Reilly and his ignorance on display during the whole gas crisis didn’t help either.
‘Big Oil’ employs millions of people in this country and their suppliers and vendors employ millions more. We eventualy won the drilling debate with the American people, but falling gas prices have put everyone back to sleep and an Obama and democrat win have made it mute for now.
Until prices go up again...no-one is going to care that the democrats are destroying an industry vital to our economy and national security.

As for 45 ammo like shotgun shells, the 410 is probably close to the same circumference, but it’s shell is too long to use in a revolver or semi-automatic.
Perhaps some else out there knows of an ammo that comes close to what you are seeking.
It’s been quite a while since I handled a 410 shell. Someone may pipe up that it’s circumference is more different form a 45 than I remember it. I suppose you could shorten the 410 casing, so that it would fit another gun. It’s something I would find interesting to know.

Can you imagine, harleys, hunters, nascars, middle American, and those bitter clingers rallying to take back our country? We may not be ‘mobilized’, but we’re ready at a moments notice. Plus the military. Did you see Petraeus’s comments re Gitmo and Iraq? This is an American issue, and Americans will be in charge. We’re just in the wings waiting until bambi pushes the wrong button. We have the military on our side. There are too many of us. This is the wrong time for bambi’s takeover. We will fight socialism until our dying breath.
I’d call Obama incompetent, but I don’t want to insult Jimmy Carter.
