You search the Web. Together we'll rescue pets.
We're on a mission to help pets in need. We call it our Search & Rescue program. Now when you search with Dogpile, a portion of the revenue generated will be donated to the pet charity ASPCA®.* The more you search, the more we'll rescue. It's that simple. Our goal is to raise $1 million for pet rescue by the end of 2009.

It's not cheap getting the pups over here.. ASPC International says their costs are $5000 per pet. Good for Dogpile.. I've always liked their search engine!

It’s a heartwarming story. I can only imagine
how much comfort having those pups help the
soldiers. God bless them.

How could I make it my search engine, instead of going to the webpage? Would I have to download their toolbar?

I switched browsers. Using Google’s new “Chrome”, my 9 most visited sites are always on top & part of my home page, when I open a new page.
It took only 3 days to have Dogpile join freerepublic on my Chrome-home page.

That is good news. We just adopted a shepard mix from the NevadaSPCA and he is adorable and so well trained.

Once you go there, ( www.dogpile.com ) the link will be stored on your computer. if you subsequently click on the little down arrow at the end of the address window above, you will see all the sites you visited that left cookies. all you have to do is to click on it, and it will open the page and move the name back to the top of the queue.
If you want to keep it as your default search page, go to your search window above, and click on the down arrow. Click on "change search defaults" and when the window opens, you type in the link for the dogpile page. simple as that.

I've used Dogpile.com ever since a Supervisor-Of-Flying told me about it many many years ago.
I also recommend www.intellicast.com for weather. It's radar and satellite services have always been of great use to pilots and air traffic controllers.
