When President Obama nominated former Senator Tom Daschle to be his secretary of health and human services, it seemed to be a good choice. Mr. Daschle, as the co-author of a book on health care reform, knew a lot about one of the presidents signature issues. As a former Senate majority leader, he also knew a lot about guiding controversial bills through Congress, where he remains liked and respected by former colleagues.

If I would have seen this yesterday, I would have posted it for everyone.
I’m betting the NYT knows there is even more damaging news on Daschle that has yet come to light.
I want to see Tom Dasche pay pentalies (as I would be required) and then possibly go to prison.
I agree.
Why is it that rich Rats don’t pay taxes? And if they get caught not paying taxes, they just get to make it up somehow (or say they will) when it’s convenient for them?
Penalties. Prison.
You know it’s just killing the NYT to have to report bad news on one of their beloved Messiah’s picks.
Under the bus, Daschle!...go quietly now....
Good Grief!! One hardly knows where to begin with this bunch.

... Frauds like Geithner and Daschle are why we are talking stimilus, and there are millions more like them who haven’t paid their fare share but want those of us who do to bail them and the country out.

FRY HIM
Ted Stevens is going to prison for a lot less than this!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. His own words.
And wouldn’t you suppose the “Great One” asked him to throw in the towel, particularly after the latest “performance czar” withdrew her name from nomination in lieu of tax evasion? It’s amazing the New York Times published that article yesterday!
Change......
The more something changes the more it stays the same.
If he didn’t do his homework with his cabinet. Should he be
talking to Syria and Iran. Methinks not.
