Obama displayed 'weakness' in Arab TV interview

A Middle East expert says President Barack Obama show ed weakness during a recent interview on an Arab television network.

"The mistake that President Obama [made] is not only going on Al-Arabiya, but talking in a way that made the United States look bad by saying to them that America needs to listen instead of always dictating," says Gabriel.

The former broadcast journalist says that sends the "wrong message" to terrorists -- an element she contends truly hates America "no matter how nice we try to appear."

"This sends a message to the radical Islamists...that America is weak, [that] America does not want to fight [and] cannot fight; and [that] this is why we are going to them begging for them to like us."

I agree. I don’t think they’re going to attack us (certainly not DC!) because they know Obama is on their side, and like any African Muslim dictator, he’s very picky about his prerogatives. So they won’t inconvenience him in any way.

I don’t think he showed weakness. I think he told them publicly that he was on their side, which of course many of us have known for some time, and many of them suspected. They’re making enough noise now to cover for him (except for AQ, which came right out and congratulated and thanked him, a fact not reported by the MSM) but everything is in place now and the Muslims aren’t worried. They can walk in here any day and Obama will be ready to add us as the 58th Muslim state.

He may be a raving loon ( and he is ) but when they strike back next time can you imagine the “necessary reforms” that he will make right after the attack ?

Confiscate all guns
Confiscate all fertilizer
Confiscate all white owned farm ( ok sorry I was thinking Zimbabwe )
Raise taxes
Nationalize Healthcare
Nationalize the Petroleum industry

Etc.

I’d guess that we’re going to need some of those survival skills at this rate.

I’d say that Biden was right that the terrorists will test our mettle with an attack within months of obama taking office.

He might as well have handed them an engraved invitation to attack.

It should by now be pretty obvious that we have blame America first Jimmy Carter II.

I think that you missed the invisible sarcasm tag...

Actually, no. I assumed P-F was being sarcastic. To indicate agreement with P-F's comment, I extended the point by adding that GWB had been in office less than 8 months at the time of 9/11/01.

It's hard to avoid incorrect conclusions in the one-dimensional world of the internet.

For once it’s refreshing to see the Middle East and Ahmadinejad speaking the truth for a change. With this I can agree.

Is there any reason you named a bunch of liberal strongholds where there are no concealed carry weapons....? We have ferries in North Carolina too. If they try that here the only thing that will happen is the sharks will get a good taste of Muslim meat.

I wish I didn’t think this way because the attack on the WTC towers was crushing to me (they were my favorites) — but I’m afraid I have to think this way in order to toughen myself up for the next one :(

Totally and this is the fear of millions...quite frankly it’s time for O to man up or be prepared to be humiliated by the enemies of our beloved homeland...

You bet they do...One can’t even imagine the patience and the dedication our enemies have and the desire to absolutely go for the jugular.

I think O understimates them far too much.

For the first time in my adult life, I can look at a photo of the President of the U.S. with someone like Ahmedinejad, and not think the President is at least a better man. Obama is as much a liar and murderer as Ahmedinejad.

If there’s another terrorist attack on US soil like the WTC, I sure wouldn’t want to look Middle Eastern.

There was enough trouble restraining people after that. Another one and well, I wouldn’t want to look Middle Eastern...

The only question that remains is whether his weakness was due to stupidity or design. And personally, I don’t think it was inadvertant. He’s just a Trojan horse and has no loyalty to the US.
