Those foolish enough to register will find the annual fee increasing year by year until they are financially forced to turn the firearms in.

May not matter if the Democrat caused worsening economy continues to spiral down. All of us may be on “The Road” soon.

>>>Doesn't mean we shouldn't keep an eye on it, though. <<<

Exactly my conclusion after reading the bill. Probably doesn't stand a snowballs chance in hell of seeeing the light of day - but that doesn't mean that a bunch of gun-grabbers in Congress don't sympathize with it's aims!

They're just afraid, for now, of putting their names to this UnConstitutional piece of excrement.....doesn't mean that Obama won't try to change the climate!!!

The Bonnie Blue is subtle. I doubt 2% of the Sheeple even know what it is. I'm looking for the 2% that do.

We are a band of brothers,
Native to the soil
Fighting for the property
We gained by honest toil.
And when our rights were threatened,
The cry rose near and far;
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star!

chorus: Hurrah! Hurrah!
For Southern rights, Hurrah!
Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star!

As long as the Union
Was faithful to her trust,
Like friends and brethren,
kind were we, and just;
But now, when Northern treachery
Attempts our rights to mar,
We hoist on high the Bonnie Blue flag
That bears a single star.

First gallant South Carolina
Nobly made the stand,
Then came Alabama
And took her by the hand;
Next, quickly, Mississippi,
Georgia, and Florida,
All raised on high the Bonnie Blue flag
That bears a single star.

Ye men of valor gather round
The banner of the right,
Texas and fair Louisiana
Join us in the fight;
Davis, our loved President,
And Stephens statesmen are;
Now rally round the Bonnie Blue Flag
That bears a single star.

And here's to brave Virginia,
The Old Dominion State.
With the young Confederacy
At length has linked her fate.
Impelled by her example,
Now other States prepare
To hoist on high the Bonnie Blue flag
That bears a single star.

Then here's to our Confederacy,
Strong we are and brave,
Like patriots of old we'll fight,
Our heritage to save.
And rather than submit to shame,
To die we would prefer
So cheer for the Bonnie Blue flag
That bears a single star.

Then cheer, boys, cheer,
Raise a joyous shout
For Arkansas and North Carolina
Now have both gone out;
And let another rousing cheer
For Tennessee be given
The single star of the Bonnie Blue Flag
Has grown to be eleven!

But I prefer this one.

For you see, I do not wish to secede, I want to take the country back.

But if separation it is to be, then at least we'd have interior lines, and they would be isolated along the left coast and in the northeast and around parts of the Great Lakes. We'd still have a nice long coastline though, all of it ice free year round. We could likely get Florida back on the Good Side, maybe Colorado too.

Also the southern parts of Illinois, Ohio and Indiana would likely split off. We'd have most of the food, other than some of the fruits and vegetables from California, much of the minerals, especially oil and gas. They'd freeze and starve in their putrid cities.

Why can’t Congressmen be sued or impeached for proposing unconstitutional laws?

'Cause the Constitution protects their sorry selves?

Article I, Section. 6. The Senators and Representatives shall receive a Compensation for their Services, to be ascertained by Law, and paid out of the Treasury of the United States. They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

Support and Defend applies to all of it.

If you can go to jail for an “unregistered” .22, why not have a machine gun?

Or a Mk-19 or AT4? Or even a Javelin. Arms is arms.

If Judd Gregg takes the Commerce job, the Dems get 60 votes and this passes the Senate and becomes law.

There are enough RINOS in the Senate, they'll have the 60 anyway. Although what the House Republicans did was very encouraging. But the Senate is not the House. It's much more of a big club.

From my cold dead hands.

Correction: the preferable outcome is from their cold dead hands (this bill, that is).

This BS isn't going to stop until some of these dip---s get some lead ventilation.

Democrat voters in rough, inner-city neighborhoods are very much against firearms control laws

Yea, that explains why the Congressman from the South Side of Chicago is the sponsor of this bill.

Much of the district is rough inner city, except for Hyde Park, where Obama, Ayers, Farrakan, and others of that ilk, live, and some of the far southwest part of the district.

Try again. Your SKS won’t even get the chance to have its number of evil ergonomic attachments assessed; it’ll be listed by name.

Oh it was covered in last session's HR 1022, by name (but even then only if it had a detachable magazine, but it's not in this bill. I've read it, no arms are specifically named, just handguns and semiautos with detachable magazines.

That isn’t very helpful to OUR side.

Although no doubt the gun grabbers will use it to say: See, those people are dangerous. Take all their firearms away.

Under normal circumstances no, but on the subject of this thread, I would hope (although I don't really expect anything from law enforcement personnel but doing what keeps their retirement intact.) that they would stand with citizens who reject a law clearly in conflict with the second amendment.

So law enforcement should treat the second amendment in a different manner than the rest of the Constitution? I would guess that you would be the first one calling for the head of a Cop you saw breaking the smallest infraction. Thank God that the unelected police in my state don't take on the job of the judge and jury.

They also replaced the “more than two of the following features” with “ONE or more” to make sure they captured every semi possible.

So did last session's HR 1022. But it still required "detachable magazine" as a pre-condiion to that "one feature". This one affects *all* semi-autos with detachable magazines. Of course if it actually gets close to passage an amendment could remove the detachable magazine crieria.

Of course if they had any brains at all, they'd be trying to ban bolt actions in full power, or greater, chamberings. Of course that might not be possible politically, at this time.

If they didn't have room in the prisons for 20 million illegal immigrants, do you think they'll find room for 20 million law-abiding American citizens?

You betcha.
