Just Wow. For those that were listening, it was one of the most facinating exchanges between a listener and Rush Limbaugh. Rush was speaking to an out-of-work grandmother who loves Pittsburg, and used to live there when Rush was working at a local radio station. She said that she couldn't afford the trip up, and was nearly indigent, and Rush is going to get her and her son a hotel room, a ride from their home in FL to Tampa for the Super Bowl.
Any person, no matter their station in life, that gives to another freely and with good heart, is a person worthy of my admiration and respect. I think the Good Lord above was looking out for this lady today, and arranged for her to get to speak with Rush. And now we do know the rest of the story, don’t we?

You are correct. I looked at his website... not a word.
Practicality may say that. But, sometimes memories are worth more than gold.
I always wanted to have the money to do these kinds of things.
I remember when my oldest son was about three or four. The balloon guy at an event was done and gave my son the balloons that were left. It was my son's idea to look for other children who looked like a balloon would make them happy and give them one.
I think of that multiplied.

Oprah gave them away but Pontiac paid for them. No money out of her pocket.
That did it for me as far as admiring Oprah.
Rush has a good heart. Wish there were more like him in this world. May he be abundantly blessed.
He seems to just marry them all eventually. - The big “o” won’t even send his brother living in the hut in Kenya $10 a month to double his current income. Rush is probably already sending “o’s” poor brother the $10 stipend and hasn’t even told us about it. He probably plans to spring it on Obama at an inopportune moment. - “O” must like to play with fire; Clinton always got burned when he messed with Rush and so will “O”.
The Hutch needs his own show. He’s always entertaining.
I remember that. She picked out a Chevy or some frugal ride, not wanting to be greedy.
He said "come on, pick an Escalade or a real car'.(paraphrasing)
I dozed off and didn't hear today's giveaway.
Thanks so much for letting me know they were taken care of. The story didn’t have a follow up and I wondered if they made it to D.C.

One of the things my company does is sponsor the Young Eagles program. It gives airplane flights to youngsters who are interested in maybe one day becoming a pilot. Those kids eyes light up like Christmas trees the whole time.

You are correct. If I recall, some of the "winners" could not afford the tax, title and license for the cars and they never took full possession. That was nothing but a publicity stunt for Okra.
Oprah gave away the keys of Pontiacs to the entire audience about 2 years ago. They had to pay tax, title and license. Actually IIRC, the cars were Saturns.
Many of the "winners" could not afford to pay tax, title and license. Okra did NOT spend one penny of her fortune to pay for a single car. That was just a publicity stunt for her.
One day on his show he gave a lady a car so she could get to work. He is a truly good man.

You don’t have to be rich to do things though...next time you are in the 1$ store give a kid looking at the toys the money to buy one! You will go home richer.
Their Mothers are very kind and realize my Grandchildren are not living near me and I wish they were.
I have no doubt that this is not the end of Rush’s generosity toward this woman.
Hutch and Rush were breaking themselves up. It was hilarious.
