Not known to be corrupt. But then, how do you get to be Blago’s #2 guy? But then again, maybe Blago wanted to be near Quinn, not the other way around.

Quinn has been busy with his own personal agenda and if he is corrupt, he’s done a good job of keeping it hidden.

Maybe he just got good at side-stepping all the corruption.

We do have some good guys here in Illinois. Very few, in my opinion, but a few. Jesse White, Secretary of State, is a good guy. Wish he’d run for governor.

Blago can’t run for anything in Illinois. Ever. Never. Again.

His next gig is a federal trial and he could go away for a couple of years.

Impeached or convicted?

To remove a government official from office, first you impeach that official, then you convict him.

Impeachment + Conviction = Removal

I thought I had heard on one of the news stations that the feds had some 230+ hours on tape and so far have only made 30 something public.

I’m sure you right. There’s a lot more to come.

Maybe even a cover-up by Obama.

Don’t forget that Mr. Fitz, the attorney heading this up, was a Clinton appointee. Hmmmmmmm.

I agree. Sidebar—as Ill. native, I have followed Ill. machine politics my whole life, & I have NEVER seen Illinois Dems move soooo fast on something...Even Laura Ingram said as defense attorney she was not comfortable with way this went down...

not that Blago isn’t guilty, but I really think there is more to the story here—how high did corruption go & who knew, etc. It will be interesting to see who Rod outs when he sings.

“The libs at the Chicago Tribune did it. Not Fitz. They worried that Rahm was going to be at the meeting as well and the ONE would be caught up in this nastiness, but because the ONE is perfect they took no chances and ran the story Friday (against Fitz’s requests) to make sure.

The weekend meeting with all the conspirators was canceled. Rod was already damaged goods, they did not want the corruption to hurt any of their favorites.”

Yep!

They just had a poll at the end of Fox Chicago News—asking if he was treated fairly. 51% said no. Obviously, the party leaders wanted this over with as quick as possible—support for Blago, or objections to the way it was being done were growing. They also showed an immigrant group holding a candlelight vigil outside Blago’s home tonight.

Quinn will raise the state income tax. He will either not run or lose in the primary to Lisa Madigan. With her dad Mike as Speaker of the House controlling the state budget, Lisa will get to spend the revenue from the tax increase....

There’s very little difference between Blago and the rest of the Democrats. Money talks.

Did he forfeit a pension to stay on a few days longer? People in IL deserve all they get.

could it be that xerO told Blago who to pick, and then Blago went against O's orders ?

it kind of smells like a hit, all these years of cover and then..... BAM, down goes Blago !

I think Der Blag let loose a little hint of things to come when he implicated Rahmbo the Immanuel in the pharmaceutical Canadian Caper, one of the items for which he was impeached. Blago said it was Rahmbo's idea, hah.

Blago may be down but not out. He always seems to come up with a new goodie from his bag of tricks. It's like the Flash Gordon serials I used to watch on Saturday matinees at the movies. Flash is always in trouble at the end of each episode, but the next episode sees him mightily battling back at the bad guys.

If all this leads up to the Immanuel or even the Messiah taking the pipe in some way during the Justice Department trial, I say (temporarily, at least), "GO BlaGO! You can start singing now."

You'll never be commuted out of Joliet by Obummer anyhow, Guv, so you might as well be hung for a cow as a calf.
