Pushing back against the unanimous House Republican vote against President Obamas stimulus plan, the White House plans to release state-by-state job figures so we can put a number on what folks voted for an against, an administration aide said.
Its clear the Republicans who voted against the stimulus represent constituents who will be stunned to learn their member of Congress voted against [saving or] creating 4 million jobs, the aide said.
White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said the lawmakers will have to answer to their constituents.
I do believe that there will be people in districts all over the country that will wonder why, when theres a good bill to get the economy moving again, why we still seem to be playing political gotcha," Gibbs said.
And later today, MoveOn, Americans United for Change, AFSCME and SEIU will be announcing a new ad campaign targeting moderate Republican senators who might support the stimulus Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, Judd Gregg of New Hampshire, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Charles Grassley of Iowa.
The ad, which will run in the Washington market and in those states, consists of clips of the president talking about the stimulus, followed by the male voiceover, Tell Congress to support the Obama plan for jobs, not the failed policies of the past.
Letters on the screen say: Tell Congress to support the Obama Plan. In addition to the liberal-labor coalitions ad campaign, the Laborers union, which represents construction workers, is airing ads aimed at Grassley, Sen Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Sen. John Ensign (R-NV), Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN), Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN), and Sen. Jim Bunning (KY). The spots call on Congress to support the stimulus package.

Wonder how many of them voted “Present”? Publish THAT.
LIARS!
How defiant of those evil republicans! Those LSM headline writers can’t lose their jobs soon enough.
Pubbies: No.
MSM: Republicans refuse to be bipartisan.
I agree...the ones that voted for this insane bill will have much to answer for.
scary cult indoctrination behavior bump
Is there money in Porkula for the democrats to install loudspeakers to broadcast the Dear Leader’s thoughts on public streets?
It works so well in North Korea
So it's 4 million now? Wouldn't it make sense to postpone the stimulus bill a couple of months until the fictional number is up to at least 10 million?
How about a citizen by citizen figure of the debt we are imposing on them and their children.
The Bill passsed. The only thing they’re bitching about is they have no-one to blame but themselves when it fails.
3 to 4 million jobs? Give me a break, they’re starting to believe their own lies now!
Why does he think they voted the way they did?
Kit Bond better vote “NO”.
I live in Michigan. Both my senators and my representative are democrats. I still oppose it.
One figure I’ve seen recently tags it at ~$7k per taxpayer.
“The Bill passsed. The only thing theyre bitching about is they have no-one to blame but themselves when it fails.”....
In a nutshell!.....They have no C.Y.A. backup!
Go ahead, socialists. I just pray that the GOP leadership is smart enough to respond with the cost per job and how long it will take our children and grandchildren to pay back the $2,000,000,000,000 (two TRILLION dollar) debt for liberal fraud, waste, and abuse.
Oh. Right. McCain is our "leader". I hope there is a conservative governor somewhere who is willing to speak up and explain why it's better even for her far northern state if no one gets this wasteful spending, not even the people of her state, than if everyone gets these "stimulus" programs and our kids get to pay.

MSM: Republicans refuse to be bipartisan. But when Bush was in office it was like this: Bush: I'll give the Democrats nearly all of what they want. Rats: You still stink MSM: Bush and the reuplicans force partisanship upon the democrats.
Best. Summation. Ever.
