Mayor Bloomberg Declares War On ... Salt
wcbstv ^ | 1/28/09 | Marcia Kramer

Singer Jimmy Buffett will never find his "lost shaker of salt" in New York City or any other place in the country if Mayor Michael Bloomberg has his way. The mayor is waging a war on salt and he wants food manufacturers and restaurants to join his army … or else.

It's ironic that the war on salt began on the very day the city was spreading tons of it on the streets to fight a snow storm, but in Bloomberg's view there is good salt … and bad salt.

City officials said that people don't realize the salt content of the things they buy in the supermarket.

because like Rudy, he is a moderate.

the alternative is so far to the left as to make Bloomberg look like Reagan.

I am 50 miles away, so I don't have to deal with this dooooshbag directly. Like Rudy crime is down from the not forgotten administration of the horrendous Mayor Dinkins.

" ... He needs a shrink."

No ... he needs to be locked up for being a danger to others.

I'd volunteer, but I fled the northeast years ago, before they could lobotomize me.

I have this bad habit of staying up later than I should.

I don’t mean to, but I’ll be reading an article, and then I just want to check my email, and check one other site, and the next thing I know, it’s well past my bedtime.

If only the government would institute a law that forced me to go to bed at the right time, I wouldn’t have this problem.

Silly me. And I thought salt was a necessary nutrient. Maybe not.

Left-wing CONTROL freak, Gloomberg, needs to develop a deadly, fast-spreading cancer, and die a horrible, painful death.

THAT would be perfect KARMA and poetic justice from my point of view.

Perhaps the mayor could arrange for a giant sunscreen over NYC since sunlight causes skin cancer. Or maybe he could just regulate the amount of time one is allowed to be outside on a sunny day. This nanny crap is getting really tired.

Bloomberg is an idiot.

What is he going to do about salt tablets and the NYC marathon?

I do the same thing. Perhaps the gumint could put a control on our computers to shut off at a time they deem appropriate. Those who work 2nd or 3rd shift would be allowed to stay up later if we applied for special permission, and of course paid the appropriate fees.

Mayor Bloomberg Declares War On ... Salt

War on Smoking;

War on Food Fat;

War on Guns.

Old Bloomers is clearly un-American and delusional.

Get rid of him, New Yorkers, before he turns you into a Communist mini state.

Bloomie is crazier than a sh**house rat ... which makes me scratch my head in amazed wonder at just how nuts the voters in NYC must be to elect him into office?

The problem is that salt is being imported from thos states with lax salt control!

He needs to send undercover operatives to other states to try and buy salt. If they are successful, thewn he needs to have them indicted in NYC in front of a favorable federal judge so that he can force them into having Bloomberg appoint a special master to regulate salt sales.
