Singer Jimmy Buffett will never find his "lost shaker of salt" in New York City or any other place in the country if Mayor Michael Bloomberg has his way. The mayor is waging a war on salt and he wants food manufacturers and restaurants to join his army
or else.
It's ironic that the war on salt began on the very day the city was spreading tons of it on the streets to fight a snow storm, but in Bloomberg's view there is good salt
and bad salt.
City officials said that people don't realize the salt content of the things they buy in the supermarket.

I did a title search and didn't see this posted. If it's a duplicate, I apologize..
and it all started with smoking..the same people slamming this as "nanny state" in the article are probably perfectly happy with smoking bans, trans-fat bans, ipod laws, etc..Yet when the nanny staters came for them, they complained..
as a smoker (I know, I should quit), I have no mercy..

Back in the day, people like Bloomberg were locked up as being a danger to themselves and others... He needs a shrink.

Mayor Bloomberg Declares War On ... Salt...
Waiting for the tax on gym memberships and running shoes...after all, the constant wear and tear on joint ligaments will lead to future health issues and just make health costs go even higher...
