Latest BATFE arrest (your tax dollars at work)
Gun Rights Examiner ^ | January 28, 2009 | David Codrea

Posted on 01/28/2009 7:44:48 AM PST by BCR #226

BATFE arrests not a person, but a gun part. That's right folks, the stupidity has reached a new level. BATFE has arrested a belt fed upper for a MAC 10.

Len Savage, a licensed firearms manufacturer, registered an upper as an SBR and submitted it lawfully to BATFE for confirmation. BATFE attempted to have Mr. Savage modify his submission (illegally) to register the item as a machinegun. He of course refused. BATFE has now arrested the upper after using a metal plate, a chain and wire ties (conversion devices) to make it fire.

This move by BATFE is the same as if a local cop had planted drugs on a suspect and arrested him or her. There is no difference.

Anyway, read the article and wonder as I do at the newest level of corruption and stupidity of the BATFE.

Mike

Someone needs to make and post a DVD on how to, like a hill tribe Pakistani, make a machinegun cheap, a la, sten gun. Complete with buy parts at Home Depot, Ace Hardware.

Everyone starts uplifting their built and shoot vids, then that is that.

War on drugs. Big gov
War on Tobacco. Big gov
War on poverty. Big gov
War on private ownership of arms against a tyranical state
.............Big gov.

Recession. Big gov.
Good times. Big gov.
War on terror. Big gov.
Global warming. Big gov.

Anyone notice a pattern here?

Time to re-read Unintended Consequences.

Most law enforcement types “get it”. Some feds are dangerous to what's left of the republic because there is no retribution..

Biggest problem with that is that the BATFE likes to say then you are engaging in conspiracy. Though, there are video’s of this nature available if you look on the web.

Personally, I feel that keeping this information restricted is paramount to treason due to the weakening of our national defense that it causes. It’s basically a national security issue that puts our nation in harms way.

From the same thugs who brought you a conviction because a gun misfired. This is what happens when the government gets too far away from the people they’re supposed to be working for.

Looks like all that “Think Forfeiture”-taglined swag the F-Troop ordered for their shock troops has paid off.

That was one thing that was pointed out in “Unintended Consequences” -

if you even DISCUSS modifications to a firearm, the BATFE can arrest you on FELONY conspiracy charges.

That’s just not right.

(Previous to understanding this, I asked a vendor at a gunshow how to change a magazine type, and got a very hostile and very unexpected response.)

That would be the Bureau of F.A.T.E. (Firearms, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Explosives)

You can hear it now. Illegal firearms dealers yelling, "RUN, IT'S FATE!!"

They exist. They are perfectly legal. And they are not hard to find. At any gunshow or on the internet you can buy books on how to convert normal guns to full auto. It is only DOING it that is not legal.

Having such a book is no big deal. But if you do your own gunsmithing and there is any chance at all you might have a defective seer or something similar it would be better for you if you did not own any of those sorts of books.

What would you do with the plans for a Sten Gun?

MKII Sten Gun Plans

Most people would probably save them for a rainy day.

I guess that they will have to ban all semi-auto’s, because with a rubber band or your own finger, you can make it similar to a full auto (AKA Bump firing)
