Has Chris Matthews [file photo] recuperated from that bad case of restless leg? The last couple Hardball episodes give reason to hope so. As I noted here, on yesterdays show Matthews took Dem congressman Bob Wexler to task for his defense [echoing Nancy Pelosi] of inclusion of family planning funds in the stimulus bill. Matthews saw shades of Chinas one-child policy, skeptically asking: why should the federal government have a policy of reducing the number of births? By today, that funding was gone from the bill, as Pres. Obama apparently told Rep. Henry Waxman to deep-six it.
On this evenings Hardball, Matthews aired two segments in which both guests were Republicans or conservatives. Thats a total of four Republicans/conservativesmore in one show than Keith Olbermann has likely racked up in the last year.

Matthews recuperating from restless leg? Ping to Today show list.
“By today, that funding was gone from the bill, as Pres. Obama apparently told Rep. Henry Waxman to deep-six it.”
If we could dispose of enough newborns that aren’t wanted, ala Obama, then we wouldn’t really need any other method of infanticide, would we? Put them in the medical waste bins if their mammas want them murdered . . . Obamacide!
Actually just the opposite. Matthews knows that a far-left agenda will given the House and Senate back to the GOP over the next two elections.
Matthews is a vile snake. He is absolutely not to be trusted.
If Tingle Legd Matthews is praising Republicans, the Republicans are doing something very wrong. (Hint: making nice nice to Obama)
Perhaps, but if as a result he gives Republicans a fairer shake, that’s still a welcome development.
So Chris’ leg didn’t tingle enough to allow dictatorship, huh?
No forgiveness. No redemption.
Because they will never give it to you.
A fair shake? I don’t buy it. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
It is better that the Dems overplay their hand. The sooner they loose power in the house and senate the better. The Clinton years were only tolerable because we got control back. If the Dems pretend to be moderate and stealthy establish their agenda they can retain power and do more damage.
Nah, Chris is a hard-core lefty. Just when you think he might be coming around, he shows his true colors. Don’t trust him, ever.
Simple explanation: The guy’s ready for the bug house.
All the ridiculous earmarks should see the light of day. Who can tell how much the package will be reduced when all the Dem payback is eliminated??
Don’t trust him, Mark. There will be bamboozling. Don’t fall for the old okie dokie.
Somehow, I can’t help smelling a rat in all of this. I sincerely doubt that the 9% Nancy Pelousy pet babykilling strategy is actually gone, it is buried somewhere else.
Remember how the Obamessiah described it during the campaign - a young girl shouldn’t be PUNISHED with a baby for making a mistake.
Also, remember what 9% Nancy Pelousy attempted to put the Obamessiah on notice as to who controls what when it comes to spending. Between her and the Obamessiah, they both have inflated egos and inflated impressions of themselves. I don’t believe that it is gone - I think they just re-wrote it with disappearing ink. It will return when they can fly it under the radar.
As for Olbermann going soft? Not happening. He’s an in-the-tank leftist weasal who is up to something if I had to guess. While I believe that the mid-term election next yuear will see another power shift back to the ‘Pubbies, I don’t believe that’s why Keithie is making nice. He has a plan - we just haven’t figure it out, yet.
Chris is going through menopause. That’s the explanation for his erratic behavior.
Obamacide aka Obortion.
If Tingle Legs Matthews is praising Republicans, the Republicans are doing something very wrong. (Hint: making nice nice to Obama)
If you shake your Chris Matthews longer than five seconds, you’re playing with it.
(Some people also call it a Keith Olbermann.)
No tinglers for me, thanks anyway.
