A controversial new biopic about Cuban revolutionary Ernesto "Che" Guevara is awakening old passions and provoking vigorous defenses and denunciations of the iconic revolutionary and - in the case of an interview with The Washington Times - a dramatic walkout.
"I'm getting uncomfortable," Benicio del Toro said after fielding a question about his new movie's portrayal of the Bolivian and Cuban revolutions.

Nothing I’m interested in, watching a film glorifying a homicidal psychopath who even managed to scare Fidel Castro.

"Not knowing much about the history of Cuba, the history of Che, not being taught anything about it," Mr. del Toro says of his motivation for helping to bring the picture to fruition. "The image that I have or what has been told to me about this character is that he's kind of a cowboy - a bloodthirsty cowboy." Don't know anything about this terrorist, so he makes it all up as he goes.

"Del Toro is spectacular in the role of Che, not only in his physical resemblance but also in his brilliant interpretation," wrote Granma, the official newspaper of the Cuban Communist Party.Del Toro is just another Hollywood useful idiot.

    A five-hour movie about a chicken-**** thug.
That’s almost as long as one of Castro’s speeches.

Heated discussion has inevitably followed this almost 4 1/2-hour film's portrayal.... I didn't know it took Hollywood liberals 4 1/2 hours to take a dump!

'Che' spurs debate, Del Toro walkout (Benicio del Toro walks out on Washington Times)The real Che would have just had the impertinent journalists shot on sight, Benicio. You're weak, man.

To: EveningStar
    Somehow, that’s entirely appropriate.

If I remember right, Castro solution to the problem of Che was to send him to the middle of nowhere to fight without any assistance. Castro murdered him by proxy.

Pretty much the story, but I think it was Castro's brother who arranged for the trip to Bolivia.
Some people are simply insufferable.
