Man, I thought Cornyn was one of the good ones. I’m real surprised by that. Does somebody have something on him?
To: buccaneer81
Because some Senators still believe that the President has a right to choose who he wants for his cabinet when he first takes office.

Geithner is supposed to be "uniquely qualified" for the job.
Even if all these folks voted no, Geithner still would have 52 votes, and still be confirmed.

What the hell happened to Cornyn and Shelby?! That was my question as well, as the others (except for Corker) were almost a given. You can now add Hatch in the mix as we had TEN voting in favor.

I’m truly shocked that Cornyn voted ‘yes.’ He’s always been a reliable conservative.

I’m thinking that we have here a list of the Republican Senators who don’t think they can stand up to the IRS audits that all the ones who voted NO can expect now.

I did not expect Cronyn to vote for this crook. Geithner is pathetic. How can one have confidence in him when he not only failed to file for several years but tries to blame TurboTax? Another bad choice by Obama.

I expected Graham.
Glad to see that Sen. Byrd voted no. Previously also he has voted on the right side.

Cornyn & Shelby. No kidding?!! So disappointed in those two.

Other than BLACKMAIL, why else would these individuals vote YES? People keep voting these spineless, empty suits back in office. WTH????

Ensign is rubber-stamping all these corrupt appointments. I wonder what is in it for Nevada?
