Geithner vote of 60-34 (near strict party line), Gibbs' Press Beatings, Pelosi's $300M for abortion, Obama's "I won so shut up" -- The speed with which the Obama Administration is going down is breathtaking -- and wonderful!

yep... and color me shocked to the core that they split the team... Graham must be hoping his new best friend will be Bambi, but more likely McCain knows he is on very thin ice here in AZ.

He is that, but if he decides to run he has a decent chance of getting that seat. The state mirrors the country: trending liberal-moron.

You watch, the 'Rats are going to have 60-65 votes in the Senate after the 2010 elections. Between stealing a seat here and there (like MN) and taking over the seats of retiring 'Pubs in swing states, they are almost a lock to have their super-majority. If the country is still around and hasn't gone nuts by then, after 2010 it either won't be around or will be certifiably insane. You heard it here first. The barbarians are through the gates and there isn't much resistance to stopping them. We had our chance in 2008 and we didn't get it done. Now we're done.

As an outraged Texan, I’ve sent Cornyn a piece of my mind. I’ve let him know I think he is a RINO, and I’m not happy with his vote.

It’s quite an impressive “revolt” for this early in the game.

GREAT! Now we will have a tax cheat in charge of the “Bridge to Bankruptcy”. Can it get any worse?

George Voinovich knows that people in OH do not require honesty in officials. That’s why he is for Geithner. People in OH will really miss Voinovich, for like the typical voter there, he stands for nothing.

People in UT think there is a state law that requires that they keep Orrin G. Hatch there in perpetuity.

It is rare for Cornyn to be on the wrong side and Hutchison to be “right”. Cornyn is really a fearful person. I would not be surprised if he retires in 2014; so why is he so afraid of his shadow.

McCain actually voted against this nominee. I’m pleasantly surprised, though it made little difference in the larger scheme of things.

Chimera is so fearfully right: the America

I agree, lets hope they can continue to oppose the Socialist policy's of the Administration and Democrats.

You are right: that’s why the “Republican” Senate accomplished very little from 2003-2007. They are fearful men.

The Republican Party is as corrupt as the Democrat Party. The only difference is that they are in denial about their fall from grace and they lack a killer instinct. Unless it’s directed at their own supposed “base”.

The preceding statement is true and correct!

That’s why he is for Geithner.

That, and he's already announced that he's not running again.

Exactly! I didn’t say I agreed with their reasoning that Obama has a right to name who he wants.

If I don’t pay taxes, they will come after me with a passion.

I would have voted NO if I were a Senator. I am also sick and tired of this if they are Senator and get nominated, they won’t vote against them. That is Bravo Sierra. Hillary should not be SoS period!

U.S. Senate Roll Call Votes 111th Congress

Even Socialist Sanders voted nay. We lost Corker, Cornyn, Crapo, Ensign, Graham, Gregg, Hatch, Shelby, Snowe and Voinovich. There's no surprise with the last two or Graham. Bond didn't vote. Geithner didn't pay his taxes, but he's confirmed as the Secretary of the Treasury. This is nuts. If they confirm Holder, I have no hope.

Sorry. I was looking for a sarcasm tag on your post.

You're right, and you've been here long enough that I should have realized that you were being tongue in cheek.

It can now be told, the reason why Timothy Geithner was voted in as Treasurer despite a history of corruption and incompetence. Congress supports their benefactors.

Daddy is a made man in mob parlance. Let’s start with daddy’s CFR membership, 28 years as a Ford Foundation manager and many other high advisory titles. You treat his kid with respect. Got that?

>>I guess the fact that we have a 41 to 58 status right now is lost on you.<<

Here I am going to disagree a little. There are 41 with an R by their names, but “we” don’t have anywhere near 41 most of the time. The way I see it, no filibusters without Dem or Ind help.
