Conservative radio king Rush Limbaugh shot back at President Obama this afternoon - saying the new commander-in-chief is "not a unifier and not bipartisan" and is "more frightened of me" than he should be of Republican leaders.
"I think [Obama] wants me to fail," Limbaugh said on his show, rebutting Obamas' comments Friday that GOP lawmakers should not be listening to the right-wing talk show host.
Prez Zings GOP Foe in Stimulating Talk
Limbaugh Fires Back
Obama had warned Republicans on Capitol Hill Friday that they need to quit listening to Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his $825 billion stimulus package.
The conservative blowhard opened his show by saying, "I'm the man you should not be listening, according to President Obama."
Republicans have said that the price tag is too big a burden for a nation crippled by debt and that it doesn't do enough to stimulate the economy by cutting taxes.
"You know, I'm concerned about the size of the package. And I'm concerned about some of the spending that's in there," House GOP Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said after the Friday meeting. "How does that stimulate the economy?"
Limbaugh also said Obama is more than happy to "see me fail."
"He's more frightened of me than he is of John Boehner, which doesn't say much for our party," said Limbaugh.
He then said Obama's comments didn't matter, arguing that the president is "sprinting so far to the left" during his first week in office.
"The Republicans haven't been listening to me, anyway," Limbaugh said. "It's a moot point."

Obama was stupid to take Limbaugh on.
The conservative blowhard ?
They just can’t control themselves, can they?
I noticed that too! So BO wasnt a blowhard for his comment???? Puleaaazzzzeeee.....
“The Republicans haven’t been listening to me, anyway,” Limbaugh said. “It’s a moot point.”
Two consecutive election blow outs don’t lie, folks.
I honestly can’t remember the last President who was truely a unifier. You would have to go back quite a ways.
The war on opposition voices has begun
Limbaugh Slams Obama: Says New Prez is Not a ‘Unifier’
Ummm..., he’s no more a unifier than Muslims are peacemakers... LOL... Yeah, Muslims believe in peace — a piece of your neck and head for starters — and then “peace” through subjugation...
With Obama, he’s a “unifier” all right — “I won”... is his concept of unifying... LOL...
Talk about a windfall, all this is going to do wonders for Limbaughs’ wallet.
“Obama was stupid to take Limbaugh on.”
There’s nothing coming from the Obamaloon’s pie - er - cigarette hole that’s not “stupid”.
Yeah and that was by the NY Post, not even the NY Slimes. I expected better than that.
He's immediately sucking Uncle Sam's SUV extremely too hard to the left!!!
Are you kidding me?? Tell these liberal punks to take a hike. They are so full of themselves. They honestly think they speak for the whole planet!
Nope, they can not control themselves. If they could, they wouldnt be liberals.
I think it was George Washington and by the end of his second term he was sick of the partisanship and looking forward to the peaceful life of Mount Vernon. Bush really did want to be a unifier, but from the day he walked in he realized he wasn’t in Austin anymore.
Maybe Nixon....er, Obama has an Enemies List
VERY true. Ignore Rush, agree with Rush, but don’t EVER attack Rush Limbaugh if you’re the POUS. Rush will make Barack sorry for that particular gem of wisdom.
