What does it say about Barack Obama that the first major act of his administration was to help terrorists and to endanger America?
Less than 48 hours after taking office he whipped out his magic pen and signed the Terrorist Emancipation Proclamation. In one fell swoop, a major tool of national defense was gone. In one fell swoop, the scale tipped in the terrorists' favor.
The evening news told part of the story.
That was the part about Guantanamo Bay. Mocked and attacked by liberals across the world, most people don't really know about Guantanamo Bay, but they do know that they're supposed to hate it. That it is some bad place where bad things happen, where the evil demons Bush and Cheney violated all that is holy.
Most people know that Barack Obama ordered Guantanamo Bay closed, that he has given the military a year to shut the detention camp down.
But most don't know why Guantanamo Bay was opened. The fact is that after the attacks of September 11, as we moved against our foes, the very real problem arose of where to put the bad guys. When we captured someone suspected of being involved in terrorism, what were we supposed to do with them?
Detention in the war zone wasn't safe for the prisoners or the guards. Detention in the United States opened each case to meddling by anti-American liberal lawyers and judges. That left detention on territory that America controlled, but where the ACLU and the rest of the leftists couldn't get.
And that was the small American naval installation in Cuba. In a foreign country, yet under American control. It was a good location.
And we treated the prisoners well. Their culture and religion were respected, they got better food than the soldiers guarding them, they got medical and dental care for the first time in their lives. And they were someplace where they couldn't hurt anybody.
But that's over.
Within a year, that camp has to be shut down.
That's what was on the news.
What got overlooked was the fact that the executive order also forbade any portion of the American government from having any sort of terrorist detention facility anywhere outside the United States. That was directed at the the CIA which has probably run one or more small collection facilities in Asia or Europe.
But those are gone now, too.
Which presents something of a problem.
Under these executive orders, any terrorist caught by us, anywhere in the world, has to be brought to the United States. What exactly happens to them then, the Obama Administration hasn't yet figured out. Seriously. Two executive orders saying where prisoners couldn't be kept, but no executive orders say where where they could be kept.
Barack Obama ordered Guantanamo closed before he figured out where to put the prisoners in Guantanamo.
Which means they're coming here.
No foreign detention means they all come here.
Which means the liberal anti-American lawyers are going to be filing paperwork in front of liberal anti-American judges demanding that these terrorists be tried in American criminal courts. And they'll keep filing paperwork until they until they find a judge who will go along with it.
And then a whole string of suspected foreign terrorists is going to want the same rights given to American citizens accused of simple crimes.
That includes bail and a check to pay for the lawyers. It also includes something called “discovery,” which is, simply put, all the information the prosecution has and where it came from.
What that means is that the terrorists and their anti-American lawyers will have an open book on American surveillance and intelligence capabilities.
If we found out someone was a terrorist by listening to their phone calls in Afghanistan, when that fact is given to the defense lawyer, all of a sudden the terrorists in Afghanistan are going to know that we can listen to their phone calls. Or, if we have infiltrated a terrorist organization, and know that somebody is about to kill some school kids, and we arrest them, the defense lawyers will have a right to know how we found out about the plot. That means our person on the inside will be revealed to the terrorists, and probably killed.
Further, the Obama plan – with its unavoidable American trials – means that our court system will be turned into a public relations tool of the terrorists. Every terrorist on trial is going to use the attention of the trial as a platform to spout their propaganda.
And there's a good chance some terrorists will be found not guilty. If the government won't release the source of its evidence, if a soft-headed jury hears the case, if the judge makes prosecution difficult, you'll end up with an acquittal.
Which means you'll put a terrorist on the street.
The American street.
Most of these people can't be sent back to their home countries because their home countries – knowing they are terrorists – won't take them.
That turns them home here.
In which case the Terrorist Emancipation Proclamation becomes the Terrorist Importation Act.
Either way, it's a present from Barack Obama.
In his first major act as president, he helped the terrorists and he endangered America.
In his second major act as president, he freed American government money to pay for the abortions of little brown babies in the Third World.
Who knows what mischief he'll get into this week.

‘Gunshots’ at US embassy in Yemen
Gunmen have opened fire at a checkpoint outside the US embassy in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, Yemeni officials say.
Initial reports suggest no-one was hurt in the attack, apparently carried out by gunmen in a car.
Hours earlier, the US embassy said it had received a threat about a potential attack in “the foreseeable future”.
US officials urged American nationals to exercise caution in the Arab country that has previouly witnessed attacks by militants on Western interests.

And this is why the terrorists wanted MulatObama to be our next president. They knew that it would be our defeat and their victory. This is why they cheered in the streets when he won. He may be black, but he was our white flag of surrender. I wonder if he has some French in him?

The Obama Plan is a two-fer. Bring them here and let them go.
So now, intelligence personnel and their ‘contacts’ are no doubt running hard, fast and will soon vanish.
Obama doesn’t even know where to put them. He puts the cart before the horse.
What have we done, America, in electing this man?
