Boycott Greg Gutfeld's 'Red Eye'
Andrew Breitbart
Monday, January 26, 2009
"Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld" on the Fox News Channel must be boycotted or taken off the air. Its sexist, misogynist, homophobic, racist, speciesist and self-hating host must be maimed, lynched and/or killed. If not, someone might be offended.
And that cannot happen -especially now that President Obama is poised to make everything really great.
In an era of extreme political correctness, when almost everyone is offended by almost everything, and with self-appointed advocacy groups organized to find offense on behalf of almost everyone -offensively, without the majority in the group's consent - it's nice to know that there's a place to go where everyone can be offended almost all of the time. Even if it's hidden on the offensive cable news network, according to offensive liberal watchdog David Brock's Media Matters, and shown at an offensive hour - Monday to Friday, 3 a.m. EST.

Satire of satire. I love it!
Don’t be sorry. That was your opinion. I just disagreed with you. Let me see if your explanation of what should be allowed under free speech holds up under the following example.
Read the comments on this page. Pay special attention to Anonymous. There’s a particular comment about Megan’s face, that I think should cause you to rethink your rule regarding free speech.
I *LOVE* Red Eye! It takes a couple of viewings to ‘get it’, but for those with a certain type of humor, it is a guilty pleasure.
Greg is quite conservative, and his nightly ‘Gregalogues’ often pack quite a lot of conservative wit and truth.
“I love Red Eye. I Tivo it since I’m not normally up at 3:00a.
It’s one of the best shows on TV.
I hate it when they bump it for some nothing event like election coverage, presidential inaugurations, etc.”
Thank you and I agree totally....finally a non-stuffy, conservative show.. it’s really funny!
I think Redeye is hilarious. Silly, infantile, sometimes offensive, sure. Still funny.
It took me several tries to “get it,” but I think Gutfeld is a genius. The guests usually laugh all the way through the show.
For some reason anonymous un-moderated forums bring out the worst in some folks.
I posted a thread last week on FR about the new commuter railroad between ABQ and Santa Fe banning photographs out the windows while traversing Indian pueblo lands (no matter that this section of the ROW has been in passenger use for well over 100 years). My link was to a local TV station that has a comment forum. It didn't take long for it to fill up with all of the worst, hateful racist, ethnic stereotypes about Native Americans that one could imagine. Responses by those on the other side of the coin were made largely by the bleeding heart types that believe we must continually defer forever to the sensitivities of the Indian people due to their treatment by first Spanish, then Mexican and finally American conquerers. The thread had filled to nearly 400 posts when the station yanked it. Very little constructive discussion on the free speech issues involved here (taking a picture from a public right of way).
I only watch when Anna Gilligan is on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dp8brMrjzR4
pics or it didn’t happen
guess I should have scrolled
you and me both. I was shocked that this swill is on fox news channel. Fox broadcast I could see, but not FNC. It would be nice if they actually had an overnight news show for those of us suffering from insomnia or having to be up to work or for some other reason.
You’re right on the money IMO. I saw that thread, and I can easily see how it would degenerate on the other forum you mentioned.
I don’t think race has anything to do with it. Is it right, or isn’t it right. Who cares what color the people are.
Argue the issue on the merits.
We have a new city center called Americana in Glendale. Just after Christmas I went down there to take some pictures of the Christmas tree and decorations.
I took a tripod with me. I was about half-way through taking a panorama I could place on the forum, and a security officer comes up to me and told me this wasn’t allowed. Frankly, it angered me.
Here I was in a public place, and they wouldn’t allow me to take pictures of the plaza.
I didn’t care what color he was. I did care about the absurd rule.
People should be able to take photos from the railroad right of way. Of course the Native Americans could put up a way I suppose. Dingbats.
...could put up a wall...
No problem, here’s a video too:

I love red eye...takes a couple episodes to “Get it”

It’s a darned funny show most of the time. No matter who you are if you don’t feel offended at least once during the show you’re not alive.
And the reason he gave you was??? Did you write the city manager or contact your city council person??
